MMA ITO DOJO

MMA ITO DOJO is a very special place. It is the dojo (martial arts school) of Toshi Ito Sensei. Originally from Japan, Toshi moved to Australia in the very early 1990's. With him he brought a very deep understanding of martial arts, self defence and fitness, which he shares with his students and private clients.Members of the club have achieved success in multiple combat Sports, such as MMA, BJJ, Judo and Wrestling. However this merely a byproduct of the lessons taught, as the classes focus is on practical and efficient application of techniques for everyone, not just athletes with a strong emphasis on moral behaviour. This is a home of not only champions in combat sports, but champions in life.The MMA Ito Dojo also acts as the Australian National Headquarters for Submission Arts Wrestling (S.A.W.) - with Toshi Ito has been promoted to Branch Chief (Shibucho) and master (Shihan) by the arts founder Hidetaka Aso Sensei (Japanese Sambo, Wrestling and Judo Champion and Submission Expert)I have trained martial arts consistently since 1985 and teach at my school. However I travel over one and a half hours to train here whenever I get a chance (usually once a week) and pass many other martial arts schools to get here. Why do I do this? Because it is worth it, in every sense of the word.- I cannot recommend training here enough, you will not be disappointed.

The Best Dojo in Brisbane, (possibly Australia). I have been training with Sensei Toshiyuki Ito since 2017. He is one of the best instructors I have come across in all my years of martial arts training. He is also a personal trainer and has many clients that have been with him longer than I have been training with him. Those that don’t train with Sensei Ito are truly missing out.
