We loved the atmosphere and had great service. The coffee and cocktails were great, but the food was just fine, with some deserts being not good at all. The amount of food you get the the high tea was perfect, we just wished it tasted as good as it looked.

This place is beautifully decorated with a fairytale art deco vibe. The atmosphere is special and magical which is accompanied by an above average menu.High tea, desserts, lunch items are available. The 4 times I have gone for celebrations I’ve tried different menu items and found that although beautifully presented the food always tastes slightly stale. The basic lunch items are okay priced however the high tea is expensive considering the quantity and quality is lack-luster.I would still recommend this place for a lovely lunch setting however don’t expect the food to knock your socks off.

Pros: Great place for a low-sensory delicious lunch or high tea nibbles and calm, highly competent service. There are many photo opportunities in the beautiful surroundings and the price is reasonable. They catered effortlessly for our all-vegetarian table.Cons: sometimes I thought a random person was approaching us before realising it was the waiter. What they were all wearing was nice but it should probably all be similar or add an apron or something-?

Came for a hens I organized. We had the high tea with mini cocktails. Food was great, cocktails were okay. Nice atmosphere (just a bit dark where we sat). Difficult to find a street park.

Having just arrived in Brisbane from Sydney I took my mum to Fancy High Tea for a 90th birthday treat just before Christmas.First impressions of the venue and fit out was great! Loved the vibe and the design. This was quickly dampened by an INCREDIBLY rude young woman who “greeted us” and stormed off to “escort us to our table”, reaching the spot she pointed us in the general direction, flung the menus on the table and walked off without saying a word. Not. One. Word.We were gob smacked! TBH I was really p*ssed off that my mum got this treatment. Then the absolutely delightful Charles came over to attend to us and we took the opportunity to express our displeasure. He made sure the rest of our experience was a delight. Going out of his way to give mum lots of attention, and consideration. He even very patiently took lots of photos for us!The high tea food was ok, nothing to rave over with the taste. Looked good though

Lovely atmosphere but the high tea was disappointing. Very small serves, not enough for each person to have one of everything, and a small patty of jam for 6 scones! Very expensive for what we got. Only one offer of coffee or tea.The wait staff were very quick to clear the table, to the extent we got the feeling that they wanted us to go, well before our time slot was up. I won’t be going back.

Absolutely stunning venue! The food was divine. We went with a large group of women for a hens party and the majority of the group had the Matriarch high tea and I was very pleasantly accommodated with a vegan high tea which was delicious. Great selection of both cocktails and mock tails along with teas and coffees. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful place. Atmosphere and decor was simply amazing.Food was absolutely delicious - the sandwiches and roast beef tartlets were to die for!!! I also thought the serving sizes were great, no one went without and we were quite full afterwards!Wine and tea also delicious with the Chandon and peach Oolong.Unfortunately the service was lacking which was a disappointment.Thank you for having us!
