Scam - don't pay 100% up front like I did! They demanded a 70% deposit before the quote was even emailed to me. Then demanded the invoice be paid in full two days prior to the scheduled install date. We moved all our furniture & removed doors & they cancelled at 1pm on the day of installation. They then refused to refund my money, said they would ring back or needed to talk to someone else & wouldn't give me an answer. I had to report them as a fraudulent transaction through the bank.

To anyone thinking of using Mike's Carpet service, DONT. They will happily take your 70% deposit and then make some excuse for not being able to deliver. What absolute sham of a company.

DO NOT BOOK through this business.I paid a 75% deposit in November 2022. I was booked to have my floors done one week later and this was cancelled at 8pm the night before. The next booking was mid December and the installer arrived with no equipment. Of course, I had taken another day off work for this. It then took him three days to do what was meant to be a one day job. I paid an extra $2000 for floor preparation on the concrete underneath and he didnt do it properly, and the scotia that was installed looked terrible with texta marks and terrible joinery and it wasn't the waterproof scotia I had paid for. It is now the end of March 2023 and I am still waiting for someone to come back and fix the floor preparation on the concrete under the floorboards and replace the scotia. I have taken multiple days off work for this, including last week when no one turned up and today when no one turned up.I wish I could get my money back. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. I would've spent less money if I went through a more reputable business and it would've been done 4 months ago.Do not book through this business.

Great price and great quality. The sales team did well in consulting us and the installation got the job done professionally. Highly recommended. I would go back here if I need my floor done again.

SCAMMERSTerrible company to deal with. Made installation appointments they didn’t show up for. Then after 2 days trying to get hold of someone couldn’t find our order and lost the carpet that we ordered. Eventually installed carpet in a different colour but didn’t finish the job properly or in the way the sales person said was possible. Then when asked to discount the job they refused to return calls or emails. Then instead of discussing the outstanding amount they immediately took out a caveat on the sale of the property. Shonky company, dodgy sales team and inferior products. Then when they do the wrong thing they take over the top dodgy legal action. If I could minus stars I would. STAY CLEAR

*** THIS COMPANY IS UNDER EXTERNAL ADMINISTRATION ***I've been trying to get flooring installed since November 2022 after being given the classic we can install before Christmas" line. Still no flooring. Today was supposed to be install day and no-one is responding despite trying all channels. Finally checked via ASIC and noted the company has appointed administrators as of 27 March."

Carpet installed looks great, hence the 2 star review.This company completed by grand mothers 4 bedroom, 2 lounge room house. They started off great, communication when pricing was amazing and they came to do the quote. AS SOON as the deposit was put down, the communication went from 10 to 0. My Grandmother had multiple numbers calling her, when she would call them back apparently no onw had called her, this happened over and over again when My grandmother was trying to book the installation. We opted to move our own furniture, this is a very large house so moving the furniture took a couple of days. The agreement with the company was, that the back of the house would be done in one day (lounge room, hallway and 2 bedrooms), we moved ALL furniture out of the back area. For the installers to not confirm a time they were showing up on the day. they showed up bright and early to get the job done.. We thought, amazing. The installer came, he had no instructions given to him, was not told what to do at all, and only completed 1 bedroom and the lounge room done. Then when he was asked, what about the hallway and other bedroom, he was not sure, he advised someone would be in contact and he left. He was very polite, it was very obvious that he was just not advised of anything. My Grandmother called the company multiple times, only to be told that someone will call her soon. NO ONE EVER called her, if she wanted to know something, she would have to call them over and over again. 2 weeks later she was advised the installers will come out and complete the rest of the house, this was done in a day. Great. BUT with no communication until a little correspondence, the whole rest of house furniture needed to be removed and moved around. This company is cheap - please expect cheap communication and we will call you back" over and over again with no one actually calling back. Carpets look great

I recently had lamination done and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The team of installers were professional and knowledgeable, and they made sure that every step of the installation process was done correctly. The service was also very flexible and accommodating, and were able to work around my schedule to find a time that worked for me. They arrived on time and completed the installation in a timely manner, without compromising on the quality of their work.

Mike's Carpet Discounters were an amazing team to work with. They were very professional and honest, we received a quote from Samba and he organised immediately for the work to be done. We had the carpets done and the flooring in the ladies and mens bathroom. Both jobs required different trades people, a small team who did the carpet over two days and another small team who did the flooring in half a day. They were all hard working and got the job done with great care and professionalism. The team had great communication between themselves and were very respectful.We highly recommend their service to anyone who likes direct, honest and straightforward answers to your questions. As a client we felt that we were very well looked after and Samba made sure to always keep us informed of the process. The team of workers also made sure they were in contact with Samba and kept him up to date with the job.The follow up phone call to ensure we were happy with the job was just that extra touch of service to ensure customer satisfaction.

We were looking for replacing carpet on our 1-bedroom apartment due to water damage - was in mid December 2021 and have contacted 3 other vendors where all could not do installation after February 2022 due to covid and holiday period. Mike's Carpet Camberwell make it happen before mid of January 2022, as they promised!The sales staff are very helpful, and Venkat came to do measurement - he provided great advise on carpet choices and very knowledgeable. He prepared the quotes of two alternatives for us, and pre-ordered the material even before we finalise the initial deposit.Installation work is neat, and couldn't be happier - we asked for spare cuts of carpet in case of future patching, and they happily provided us.Staffs behind the phones are pretty busy, so you may end on answering machine and need to call later, but they are genuinely helpful once you could reach them. Overall, they delivered the job done as promised, while others couldn't in such difficult time. Highly recommended to others for their great work!
