Bobbi and her team laid on the most amazing spread for our farewell. The grazing board was exceptional and the Tacos for dinner were devoured.Everything was beautifully presented and all aspects thought of for a stress free event. The Pottery cafe pours their heart into their service and I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.

What a gem of a place! Hubby and I went here for a fun and creative date. He ordered a bacon and egg roll and a cappuccino. I had an acai bowl and a chai tea. There was a nice selection of ceramics to choose from. The place is well lit and nicely decorated. Also family friendly, there were a few mums with their children.

My 7 yo old daughter had a fantastic Birthday Party with friends here. Fun, creative, easy going, all in one place! Nice friendly staff hosted the party. Will definitely come back for another couple of pottery hours.

The Pottery Cafe
Disappointing. The service was non-existent. The drinks were not worth the price. Nobody likes a hot milkshake. We asked for a spoon and were told no, as there was one on the end of the straw. Only one straw had this option. We won't be back to try this place again. Not sure what all the hype is about. Staff obviously didn't want to be there.Editing as you have provided a reply. You say you would have been happy to give us a spoon. We asked for one and it was not provided. The milkshake was warm. The person who served us was not interested in anything we had to say. I highly doubt the shake would have been replaced as we weren't even able to get a spoon from you.

My daughter and her friend had a joint birthday party at The Pottery Café last month. There were 12 children total and from the get go we were made to feel like we weren’t really welcome. Only 2 parents could be there, so we had an anxious child in tears that her mum wasn’t able to stay. The two staff members I spoke to were quite abrupt and didn’t seem to be too good with children - this was particularly apparent when one of them (I believe it was the owner) was explaining the painting process like it was an inconvenience and with zero enthusiasm. The same person basically shooed a potential customer out the door as they didn’t have a booking - a kind “I’m sorry we’re booked out” would have been sufficient. Another staff member was frying fish on and off for our whole visit and it was extremely smelly and smoky. All these things were mere annoyances but the worst thing that happened was when we (3 separate parents asking at 3 separate times) were told the cupcakes were all vegan… which they most definitely were not. We had a child at the party with anaphylaxis to egg get given a cupcake with egg in it!!! Thankfully she had only eaten the egg free topping when they remembered to bring out the correct cupcake and we avoided a medical emergency. They were made aware of the allergy several times and I even had the bright red epipen bag in my hand when the cupcakes were brought out. This was truly unacceptable and I would suggest the owner tell guests that vegan cupcakes are “available” rather than saying “they’re all vegan”.We didn’t get a phone call when the items were ready to collect as they had only written down half the phone number to call… so I popped in after a week and a half and two of the loveliest ladies were working and sorted us out with all the kids pottery. It would have been amazing if those two were working when we had the party! They’re the reason I’m giving this place two stars rather than one. This venue is gorgeous and could be the best party place with a few minor tweaks… but reading other reviews, it seems that rudeness has been an issue for quite some time. I would come here again with just my children but I personally wouldn’t book a kids party here again.

We had an awesome night at the curry tapas evening. The food was amazing , I would highly recommend to any curry lovers. Matt & Bobbi were excellent hosts that just added to the evening. We will return !

Very abrupt and rude young lady who works here. Certainly not friendly or engaging. And didn’t seem too happy to have us there, when there was no one else in the place. Everything seems to be an issue, including just offering up a welcoming smile. Maybe it’s just her manner but leaves a lasting first impression.

Great cafe come kids painting of supplied pottery items. So for young kids they spend the time painting their chosen pottery item, whilst the adults have a coffee and maybe a bite to eat. Then the finished item is baked and one can collect the item a few days later.

My daughter had the best time with her friends at The Pottery cafe celebrating her 7th bday. If you are looking to have a party and want a calm relaxed environment where kids can explore their creativity, this is perfect. Good for all weather. Will definitely go back. It's a short walk to Collaroy playground too. Thank you to the team there.
