The Apollo Apartments

Had a great stay at Apollo Apartments over Easter holidays. It's walking distance to restaurants and parking is free. We stayed in apartment 4 with single bedroom, lounge & kitchenette. Our 5y/o & 8y/o could sleep on the sleeper couch so that was great. Just a heads up, it's self check in, so keys are in letterbox.

Absolutely accomodating. Easy check in amazing rooms. So close to everything. Only thing I recommend is extra blankets for all beds as we had three people 2 beds only one extra blanket. Love the idea that you don’t need to go out and eat if you don’t want to can easily cook with the amazing facilities. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be back.

Stayed here for one night (13.02.23) as part of a small group tour.Allocated Room 2. Whilst the room itself was well appointed the whole effect was spoilt by severe mould , especially near the bathroom .. So severe that it could be a major health hazard to certain people. This room should not be let until this major problem is fixed.There was also mildew behind the Venetian blind at the entrance which was easily recognisable.The whole apartment smelt musty.The fact that no staff were on site did not help.

Highly recommend this Motel. Beautiful room everything you would need for a night or two stay. Bathroom was lovely. The location of the Motel wasn't too far from the town center.

Staying here for a few night. There is no fly screens on any doors, so can't let any fresh air in without letting all bugs in. Very musky smell inside apartment. Floors are very sticky haven't been cleaned well. The frying pan is peeling off Teflon leaving black all through food. TV is very outdated. TV is pixelating. Can see the electrical cables behind powerpoint and aerial point. NOT SAFE! No TV in Bedroom, I think there should be being an apartment. No privacy, people can walk passed and see inside if you don't close curtains. Massive rusty crack in mirror in bathroom. Curtains are dirty and mouldy. No air conditioner in bedroom. No one at reception on arrival, no clear instructions of where to go. No ice tray in freezer. Smoking on balcony, should be allowed being your own personal balcony.

Did not enjoy this room at all , too closed in, was booked in for 3 nights but we could only stay for 1 night! It had a mouldy smell and badly needed upgrading! Lucky the motel next door, coastal motel had a vacancy and they were so accommodating, lovely staff n beautiful clean apartment!Staff at The Apollo only like to deal with you on the phone! Do not recommend staying here!

We were sent an email with a list of don't do in there rooms, otherwise they will charge your credit card, even for a mark on the wall they would charge you. Couldn't check in until 4pm,no one as around so we had to get your keys from a box, lift was tiny and slow. Had guests from adjoining room trying to get in our room while we were in it. But the bed was very comfortable.

We found 30-40 bugs a mix of mosquitos, sand flies. We called the emergency line immediately to which there was no reply, and after repeated calling Johnathan answered and explained a window must have been left open. Not possible as we checked in at 6pm to drop our bags off only at the apartment and went out again to return at 9pm not touching any windows in the interim. Jonathan recommended bug spray as the solution… we asked to have another room or a refund so we can find somewhere else at 10:00pm. Jonathan was good about this as he explained they are fully booked and can do a refund the next morning with an email.Warmly greeted by costal motel next door, who answered after hours and was there within 5 minutes. was understanding, kind and empathetic to the situation. Highly recommend.Returned for a final sweep of the apartment, I was stopped by a man (another guest)TL:DR - his room was flooded on arrival; moved rooms; got locked out; no reply on emergency line for 2 hours; with multiple phones and persons; he slept in our bug room to get some rest; no phone or belonging (still in the room) I’m sure if nothing went wrong out stay would be fine but god forbid something does. It has not been a good experienceJonathan was good about the refund and seemed to be apologetic the next day

The hotel is directly opposite the bus stop for the bus from Geelong, and very short walk to restaurants, pubs and grocery stores. I stayed here for one night before I started hiking the great ocean walk. Super close to the visitor center too. After reading the reviews, I was a bit nervous about the hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super clean room - crisp white bed sheets, spare blankets, very clean and modern bathroom, no bugs, insects or mould anywhere. Air conditioner was great for a cool night, tea and kettle perfect for the morning, lots of hot strong pressure in the shower. Would happily stay here again.

Only short stay here for one night after a long day exploring the 12 apostles.Stayed in the full apartment. (Apartment side + studio side). Had two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living area. The living area had a pull out bed, but no linens (this is a $30 extra charge that we couldn't use as we arrived too late.) To be honest though we didn't know it had a pull out bed option when we booked.I can't comment on the service as we didn't interact with any of the staff.The rooms were clean and comfortable. No view of the ocean, but the location is convenient and close to the main park and the shops.The parking is a bit tight for a large vehicle. We had a rav 4 and were able to get in without much trouble.
