Gold Cross Pharmacy

This has been my local pharmacy for over 5 years. The staff have always been very helpful though they are in a busy spot and sometimes a bit of a wait is required. The pharmacists Vitaliy is very knowledgeable and many times saved a trip to a doctor by recommending right medicine. Its not a huge pharmacy, but I seem to have always found what I needed there, and at reasonable prices.

Second time I've been here as it's the closest chemist to home. Both times the counter service has been fine, but the pharmacy staff have been incompetent, slow and rude.Today I went in to fill a hospital issued script for pain relief for my recent ceasarian. For most of the 20+ minute wait, I was the only person in there, and I was standing around in obvious pain, hugging my abdomen. A few people walked in and got over the counter things, but no one else needed either of the pharmacists on duty. They were both just standing behind the counter working on paperwork or something, and at one point spent several minutes discussing the cost price of some product. One of the pharmacists kept glancing up and giving me a foul look. Once he eventually bothered to pick up my script, it was ready within a couple of minutes. Terrible customer service, and I certainly won't be going back.

Always have meds when needed, as long as you call to ask them to have the required meds ready. Friendly & helpful staff. UPDATE: couldn't get required medication this holiday season, & no, it wasn't a RAT test. Just normal monthly scripts, but was unable to get it here, went through another chemist, not a problem. Hopefully all good next month? Yes, all good now!

The pharmacy was recommended by a friend some time ago and I have been using it since then. Great service, notwithstanding how busy they usually are. Chief pharmacist, Vitaly, is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and up-to-date with his information and symptoms advice. He can be found there at all hours of the day and It's always a pleasure to deal with him. I Recommend this place without hesitation.

Staff are excellent, patient, caring, knowledgeable and supportive.The pharmacy has serious supply issues. We needed insulin pump supplies delivered and every other pharmacy could do it in 2-3days, this pharmacy tried and totally failed to maintain basic supply chains, had to go directly to the supplier after waiting 5 days.ETA. I checked with the manufacturer, this is not a medicine supply issue. The insulin pump products were available everywhere else.

Service here is great. Staff are helpful and polite, if a little overworked. An extra pharmacist would be a blessing. Vitali always goes the extra mile and amazingly seems to know most of his customers by name. He always makes you feel that someone cares.Counter staff are always helpful.

This pharmacy is amazing! We just received a delivery for medication as we are at home sick and isolating. Received our medication within 15 mins. Friendly staff and amazing service.

The pharmacist that was on duty the night I came was very friendly and helpful. I came with my friends because I discovered I had a tick embedded in my neck from a bush walk I had done earlier that day and we didn't quite know what to do (we just knew you can't just pull a tick out!)The pharmacist recommended some tools I could use to extract the tick.I asked if she would be ok with assisting me, and the pharmacist was kind enough to help me extract the tick completely without the tick embedding itself further into my neck causing further damage.Thankful for the friendly experience I had.Thank you!

I used to go this pharmacy and the staff have always been lovely. HOWEVER, today I asked for a price check as I wanted to stop going to Chemist Warehouse. My script (for an ongoing condition) still had the Chemist Warehouse locations slip stapled to the back. The staff were fine to give me the price check, and I prepared to leave to make comparisons at other pharmacists. The proprietor came out and began a tirade about Chemist Warehouse, and then repeated twice that price checking is offensive to the industry and that I had behaved offensively. She was not open to having a conversation and would not accept that I am actually trying to switch to independant pharmacies. I do not think she cared that as a consumer I have a right to ask for costs. She continued to berate me for five minutes in front of staff and other customers. When she was done she dismissed me with a flick of her hand. The ironic thing is that Gold Cross was priced the best and I would have gone back, and continued to go back, had I not been used as a punching bag for someone whose problem is with Chemist Warehouse.

My friends and I happened to be in the area, we were in search for a pharmacy as my friend had a tick which needed to be extracted. Gold Cross Pharmacy was one the nearest pharmacy that was opened. To the pharmacist who was on duty (sorry I didn't catch your name), thank you for your friendly service, for taking the time to show us the different options/devices to purchase (to help extract the tick) and then for going above and beyond to help my friend get her tick extracted. We really appreciate you also spraying the area with an antiseptic spray and then providing us with a jar for us to put the tick (which was still alive).Thank you so much for your professional and wonderful service.
