Blaze Heaters
Bought a b900 from horizon l leisure in Adelaide. Installed it myself, i own a building company and am licensed ect, so insurance is not an issue. It is however my first installation of a fireplace. Triple walled flue makes the cut through sealing a bit of a drama, put other than that, all good. Im absolutely surprised as to the quality of the unit. It is not sold as a cheaper option, it is sold as its own product. I chose this fireplace because looking through horizon leisures store with my wife was an ordeal and the b900 was the only thing we could agree on. Large box, beautiful design. No compromise. Reading other reviews i assumed the quality was the culprit, noisy fan, bad build quality. Having owned and installed one, this is far from accurate. The fan is quiet, also the fan seams to increase the burn as if the fire is fan forced. The glass remains clear throughout usage. The heat produced is as advertised, potentially more than as we keep the flame low otherwise its too hot, saving wood, a strange commodity these days. We own a nectre mk2 as well, in our air bnb. Great unit, however, no fan an far smaller fire box, so wood needs to be planned well. Also fittings, (ie door handle, air vent), are much better designed on the b900.

I purchased a Blaze B900. It looks attractive. I spoke with several sales people trying to figure out if there was any compromises as its price was rather low. After installing it my biggest issue is the Noisy Fan. If you look at the Blaze have the dealer plug in the demo unit and make certain you can stand the noise.I spoke with the manufacturer and they said setting 2-3 are very similar, setting 1 is lower. Why have 2-3 so close I asked?? Why not space the settings evenly apart and make 1slower, wouldn’t that improve your product? With a wood burning heater the fan makes a significant difference in the heating. While having a conversation you have to talk over the Blaze's fan, so we’re more incline not to run it, so consequently we’re not getting the optimum heat.I have been in homes with a Jindara and the fan was quiet. In hindsight we should have gone with a better quality Brand.
