Stanmore Pharmacy

I have good and bad moments here, I only go if dire, I have had a few horrible moments however when I required a morning after pill and getting my normal prescription, however this was perhaps a month or two ago, I mean .... To be shamed or have a negative feeling or upon you for taking that step is kinda just sad and shouldn't be welcome in this day and age.Since going back it's been ok for otc, but I just wonder if they've been made to change their behaviour it new staff employed?Edit:It has been better since my last review. So I'll make it 4 instead of 2.Possible change in staff? But please treat people with respect.

What a gem! such a great range of products and services. Pharmacist & staff are very polite, helpful and informative. An easy destination to go to and convenient. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

Great service, but the price of my meds here is $30 more expensive than other chemists, the price of my dogs meds is also $10 more than at other places.

Extremely rude pharmacist! I went to get a statutory declaration attested and I had called earlier to inform of my arrival twice during the day. The lady had zero manners and questioned when I said I had called earlier. She said she cannot sign any documents and that it doesnt matter i drove an hour to get there as she had also worked all day.She argued regarding the validity of my documents despite me presenting all my photo IDs and original documents to her. She then signed my document after throwing tantrums and handed the document to the other staff member to give to me eventhough I was standing right there. Refused to reply to me when I said thanks.Very immature attitude for an old lady! Overall a VERY off putting experience after a long day at work. (That too when I was being polite and considerate despite her rudeness)

Stanmore Pharmacy is a mecca for all your pharmaceutical needs. The staff are so knowledgeable, empathetic, professional and kind. They have helped & advised me multiple times, and I appreciate how generous they are with their time and expertise. My favourite pharmacy in Sydney. Thank you Stanmore Pharmacy!

I found the pharmacist quite unpleasant. It’s good to see here that I am not the only person feeling that way! I had a small Amazon package to return and it showed the Stanmore pharmacy as a parcel point. I walked there this morning in this hot weather and with my newborn baby in the pram, purchased some stuff from the pharmacy and then told the lady over the counter that I want to return a package and showed her the message and the barcode on my phone, but she said she can’t do it! No other explanation. I thought she might be busy and wants to serve the other customer waiting (the only customer in the store) so I politely asked if I could wait till there’s no more customers but she said NO again and told me to come back later in the afternoon. I called Amazon and they said all she needed to do was to get the package from me and scan the barcode on my phone! Anyway they set up a new parcel point for me at the post office, but I wish our local pharmacy had better customer service.

Just got off the phone after asking about booster shots (they don’t do them). The rude woman hung up on me mid-sentence before I could ask my second question. Won’t ever go there, would not recommend them.EDIT: in response to the owner - sure, I totally understand about having staff shortages and that it’s a really hard time for everyone at the moment. The thing is, this is the second time that I’ve had a negative experience at Stanmore Pharmacy, the first was a while back, in the store. So, I’ll stick with Stanmore Station Pharmacy who are always friendly and helpful, and I’ll stick to my review. Looks like I’m not the only one who has not been happy with your staff.

Johanna, I must concur. Attitude is disgraceful.At first the staff wanders around the store vaguely handling two of the three scripts needed and when asked twice, they eventually take a photo of the third to process. I tell them I’m heading next door whilst they fill the scripts and upon returning, some 5 or so minutes later, I find lights out, locked up, nobody home. No consideration to advise they are closing, no attempt to look in a cafe 2 doors down, no attempt to make a call to me either. Just shut up shop and left. Once I do get my medications approx one hour later, I’m given the deathly stare and refusal to pass to me until cash was passed across to her. Disgraceful attitude of a person who has no idea of service and particularly in an area of health care. Thank God there are numerous alternatives in the area. One doesn’t need to deal with attitude like this. Face it, own it, and apologise. Don’t make pathetic attempts to justify yourself.

Kind and helpful staff who take their time to find you exactly what you need! They always have the meds I need in stock and dispense scripts quickly. Best pharmacy in the Stanmore / Petersham area.
