Doors Plus Wollongong

Had a negative experience with the purchase of a sliding door a year ago. Sliding door arrived as a flat pack with no instructions. The sales staff at the store were rude , arrogant and lacking in product knowledge when we had to enquire about a few defects in the door and remaining install parts. They were also very slow to reply to emails and it was rare that we connected on the phone.Other sites might be better but the Wollongong store did not perform well with product and service in the end.They might be cheaper than local competitors but they compromise on the quality of product and service!

The American sales person who works at this branch is the most arrogant, rude and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with in customer service.Called to discuss an issue with our 6 month old front door and was extremely flippant in his response.Would never recommend this place .Perhaps take your stinking attitude issues back to the states and see how you go there you douche bag.

Although sales persons very friendly and accommodating the service leaves a lot to be desired. As a franchise the advertised specials on the catalogue- have to wait in excess of 6 weeks to get down here and pay a freight/delivery fee. Then expected to take a day off work to `fit in' with the installer. Then when finally front door fitted- after 2 weeks cracks appear on each corner of the panels and the door handle is loose and won't lock -So the front door can't be locked- I get in touch with Doors Plus Wgong explain situation, state home all day - location only few kms from office and explain otherwise can come home from work and be there.10 days and still no one has attended- ! ! security issues - Installer seems annoyed and states Don't know when can fit it in !!!! This is ridiculous. Don't go there."

Same door as Bunnings but twice the price. Had to go with them because of the weird size, requiring the door to be resized. Paid & organised a day for someone to come measure, time TBA with a phone call. No phone call received & no one arrived to measure. Followed up & tradie arrived next day to measure. Booked a day to fit the door, time TBA with a phone call. Again no one phoned or turned up. Another call made, another day time & time set. Tradie turned up on time & door fitted. Unfortunately tradie didn’t deem it necessary to clean up after himself. Wood shavings left everywhere. Pretty ordinary service from payment to job being done.Doors Plus Wollongong = plenty of fuss !!

I only put one star, not because the store was terrible at Wollongong (im sure it's a great store) It's because i was trying to look for screen doors at West Gosford, n all i cld see was reviews that blocked the pics of the doors. I cldnt even choose the area, thats why Wollongong came up. I chose West Gosford n to see catalogue n still reviews,tried to get rid of them n lost the site all together. Cld be due to my sore eye n will give it another go....later

Emailed. 2 weeks no reply. Called at 330pm went to a recorded message saying it's after hours from 4pm.. after reading the reviews I'll be staying away.

Spoke with the Salesman there over the phone explaining that wanted a quote and a new back glass sliding door and screen. He could not understand what I was talking about. As I continued to explain and inform what I was talking about he was dismissive and appeared to not want to help. I am a full time working parent and he said to come in to the store as he had no idea what I was talking about. I ended up hanging up.A few days later I got a brochure to explain further. I called back and explained the exact product I was after. Again the salesman was rude said 'Oh I remember you.' Basically said he was busy and did not want my business. I informed I wanted doors and shutters and this was a big sale. He hung up on me.

The service is terrible. I wasn't sure want I wanted and changed my mind a few times which annoyed them because they had to generate another invoice.In the end I cancelled them to be installed as I refuse to give them any more money.I would not recommend them to anyone.

After explaining my needs i.e. French doors to verandah, the guy on the phone replies with, too far" to supply to bowral

I hope this gets read by Doors Plus. I have sent two enquiries via emails from your Website. Both messages state you would get back to me within 1 to 2 working days. It's been almost two weeks now.... So we decided to go directly to the store in Wollongong & it was closed. The Website states it is open until 4pm today???? A wasted trip....We will be going somewhere else to get service. Very disappointing...
