Kate Ceberano. I was looking forward to seeing Kate at The Loch. Extremely disappointed. All afternoon was hot & sunny so I was surprised that my table of 7 were not moved - we were in full 27° sun. With every guest & staff pushing past as they were seated. Told we couldn’t be moved. We insisted and were moved to the veranda where we were now in single file - 7 people deep so we couldn’t talk to each other. We were on rusted steel chairs / no cushions, and rusted tables - all covered in cobwebs and spiders. The poor quality ‘shared’ starter slapped down where 5 of my group couldn’t reach. We were then moved on by the staff for the main meal (to a table of 5 while 2 of us had to sit with no table (so we were basically separated). Small main meal. Finally the cheese plate ‘I’ve had better in economy on Jetstar’. No tea/coffee. No sweet. Worst ‘picnic’ ever! We had to have ‘dinner’ when I got home. Kate was great, very short set, I think <90mins (around 7:15-8:30pm). My group of 7 (at $1300) watched Kate through the leaf/branches of the vine growing along the veranda between structure-posts and structure-cross bar and furthest away from the stage and next to the bar where staff pushed past and people / staff talking the whole time. Not to mention the smoker 2m from our ‘table’. Sorry Kate, but a terrible experience at The Loch.To top it off, when we arrived, our car was ushered through a small gate (no big deal but!) the staff waved me through and I followed their direction and scratched my car on the post. Tip 1 - don’t let them usher / wave you through, take your normal precautions - the staff signalling you through take no responsibility. Tip 2 - have dinner at 3:30pm because you won’t eat much again until you get home. Tip 3 - take a knee blanket and cushion, they don’t provide any. I wish I could rate less than 1 star.

Kate Cebrano at The Loch.A fabulous way to spend a Sunday Afternoon.Kate was her beautiful wonderful self, her voice just gets better and better. She is so funny, so warm and makes you feel as if we are all just one big happy family. The Loch served a wonderful 3 course lunch, staff were excellent. I look forward to many more afternoons at The Loch.

Our party of 5 chose the 3 course menu and we were all satisfied. I have a wheat allergy so this was taken into account as we progressed. The food is so good! When ordinary cuts of meat are treated with such fine technique you feel you are eating the best cuts - that's something!

On Sunday 7 April we went to The Loch for their Festival of the Roast. An amazing 7 course menu with a range of meats including wild rabbit and venison, served up to 71 guests at a long table that extended the full length of the verandah. Each course was matched with a Southern Highlands cool climate wine. A beautiful day and a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon looking over the garden. Recommend keeping an eye out for these lunches that Brigid puts on each season. At other times they are open one day a week - on Sunday from 10 - 4 for morning tea and lunch. Definitely worth a visit.

We went to The Loch for Easter Sunday lunch for at 1.30 pm. . We were so pleased with the venue as we had 8 kids to hopefully enjoy themselves and 14 adults. Unfortunately we had to wait over 2 hours for the entree which was just ok and then another hour or more for the main which by this time was getting onto 4 pm and all the chicken presented was well undercooked and inedible and the lamb was very ordinary as well so we were all starving by this point and had to rely on the vegetables and salads to eat. Dessert came about 5 pm and was just ok but it was so late by then we all didn't really care. The Loch has great potential and with a good Supervisor and a modern kitchen could be great. The venue and surroundings are excellent but we would never return there. Easter lunch was overbooked and under cooked We all could see plate after plate being returned to the kitchen with undercooked food. Such a waste.

An amazing Jimmy Barnes performance last night at this terrific venue. Everything was fantastic, to be so close to the band even the back row was only 30 feet away. Such a beautiful spot, food and drinks were great too. We have never before been to such a terrific performance and we go see Jimmy Barnes many times for many years, this was the best ever.

We just had the tasting plate for lunch due to a large breakfast beforehand, but by the looks of what we saw being brought out from the kitchen and the obvious enjoyment of all those who were having lunch, we’ll come back with empty bellies. Our tasting plate was so fresh and tasty and seeing the garden from where the food came from made it all the more better. And we won’t be able to resist the cake display a second time!

My husband had booked Mother’s Day high tea for me and clearly stated I had special dietary requirements being pregnant; none of the dishes were supplemented and the staff didn’t know what they were serving or to who, apart from one adult, the rest of the staff were in their early teens (14 at most), we ended up with the 3 course because the high tea had way too many things I couldn’t eat, yet, we were brought a serving of high tea, I don’t believe the young staff knew where they were supposed to deliver meals to; we were sitting close to the kitchen and could see the same plate being brought back several times. The tables were very small and we had to move the platings ourselves, the young staff could barely hold the dishes as it was. We were lucky to be served as we had an earlier sitting but could see things were getting worse the more the place filled up. In terms of the food, it was only ok of which I couldn’t touch half the first course (cold meats, duck parfait); there were other patrons who were there earlier than us just waiting around for their desserts to come; we could see the staff were all flustered, they tried their best and were polite but the whole event was poorly managed. The best thing that happened was having crayons available to keep my toddler preoccupied whilst we tried to make the most of the mealHaving said this, we won’t be back

A great restaurant surrounded by nature, away from the big smoke. The food is amazing, almost entirely sourced locally (from the beverages, to the meat, the yabbies, the veggies...) and cooked to perfection in very original ways. The staff is very professional and welcoming, and Brigid can tell you all the best wineries and breweries and places to visit in the Southern Highlands.I would really recommend this place to all the foodies and all the families, couples or group looking for a great feed and a bit of fresh air away from the city.

mothers day high tea 2021 was the biggest waste of money and time i have ever experienced. We sat down and paused over our high tea list of things to come. And that's where it went wrong from there. We got to order our drinks around 20 minutes into our booking. Once the drinks arrived , we were all thinking our high tea selections board wouldn't be to far from arriving. 1 hr and half later we got the tasting board. We had Brandy Duck parfait in baby pots with one small toast 3 more wold have been better to be spread on. 1hr and 30min later we received our 2nd half of the tasting platter. the spaghetti was dry and chewy from sitting for so long in preparation. 3hrs i wasted when i could have been spoilt in a better place. with a lovely three course proper meal. the staff were very, very young any really had no idea what they were doing there was one mature adult staff member that really had no idea either. $79.00 way over the top for the service and lack of food.other couples we spoke to were also very disgusted in the lack of well everything
