An amazing facility for all artists and art lovers, a side of Logan very different from media portraits of Logan.

Logan Artist Assosociation is a community based not for profit organisation. I attend pottery classes at night. Both wheelwork, and handbuilding sessions are available, and in the session I attend, both are held in the same area at the same time. Pottery can be messy, so wear classes and shoes you do not mind getting a bit dirty, and bring an apron and old towel. The classes are held in an shedlike area, with a small part of the area being outdoors but undercover. Two kilns are available on sites in a separate shed. There is a unisex toilet block, that includes a disabled toilet. Inside the classroom area is a tea/coffee making area, with supplies provided. There is a microwave and an aldi pod machine (BYO pods). For wheelwork instruction, the classes I attend in the evening are informal individualised, and hands on. There are 8 wheels available, so there is a small class size, and you may need to go on a waiting list. The sessions cater for people at different skill levels. Students are expected to clean their work areas prior to leaving.Seating is limited to one per attendee. Costs are available on website... there are additional costs for clay, firing and glazing. A small amount of parking is close to entry, but there is more parking a distance away at a lower level behind the building. This lower area is not automatically lit, so you need to find out from instructor how to turn lighting on and off.
