Reef Daytripper

This is a great option for a day trip to the reef on a smaller boat (and accordingly, a more intimate experience). The trip follows the itinerary listed on the website (~2 hour travel to reef, 2 hours to snorkel/dive at first location, lunch during transit to next location, 2 hours to snorkel/dive at second location, 2 hours home).Lunch was delicious - cold bbq and meat platter, green salad, potato salad, pasta salad, fresh baked bread and there was plenty for seconds or thirds. We motorsailed both to the reef and on the way home, a relaxing and unique experience compared to the rest of the giant fast" boats from other tour companies.The boat holds a maximum of 20 guests

Fantastic experience with this boat and crew. It's a great option if you are interested in a little more personalized approach as opposed to a big ship with 100+ people on a day trip. The snorkelling sites were great and the diving instructor amazingly patient and helpful. Highly recommend booking with them!

We had the most brilliant tour of the Great Barrier Reef with this tour provider. Justine is such a wonderful scuba diving instructor, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience which is clear from the way she guides. We really enjoyed our day and would absolutely recommend diving with American Justine!

My son and I had a great trip with this company today. The crew was knowledgeable, weather good and snorkeling fantastic. Spotted sharks, turtle, clown fishes and various other fishes and colourful corals. I really enjoyed dealing with the guide Sophie who assisted us on the day and was a pleasure to chat with. Highly recommend this coral reef tour if you are after a small boat with a personal experience!

Great experience! I’ve been on a few bigger ones but enjoyed the smaller snd more personal boat. We had 10 passengers and I think 4/5 staff. Jan was amazing and great to chat with! The reefs we went to were good, it’s a bit of a hit and miss with the tour boats as they have different ones they can go to and I’ve seen better but I’ve also seen worse, I think it also depends on the day where they can go. Saw a turtle, shark (baby reef one only 2 feet) a stingray and plenty of other fishes. The lunch was great. Staff were all wonderful. Happy customers and will come again!

Very nice trip with a very friendly and caring crew. We were about 15 people and 3 crew members on the boat. So there was a very friendly atmosphere and people started very early to talk to each other and the crew members were involved in this from the beginning. It was obvious that the crew knew exactly what to do and how to inform us about the trip, the reef and stories around all this. We had two stops long enough for snorkelling in the reef, of course without doing any harm to it. All equipment for snorkelling was available for us. Some even choose to dive. The guide took care about the group and showed us interesting spots and details. On the boat there were again and again offers like lunch, snacks, fresh fruit and drinks. This was a day on the ocean that will be long remembered. Thanks to the crew!Near by in the reef were other bigger boats with a lot of people on it. Looked a bit crowded. These boats overtook us on our way back to the harbour, but they did not win, because we were so relaxed and enjoyed the slower ride!

We had a lovely day on the reef. Crew was very friendly, funny, entertaining and helpful. We did see a lot of beautiful reef wildlife including clown fish, turtles, fish in every color and size and even a harmless shark:) Food was well prepared. We would definitvely go again. Absolutely would recommend this to everyone who wants to explore the Great Barrier Reef. The small group of passengers (±15 in our case) makes it so that the crew can pay more attention to everyone. Both the snorkelling and the dive were very memorable, and Justine was an amazing instructor for our first dive ever!Crew was very friendly and helpful in general, and the food was good!

The boat was ok, a little run down compared to the photos. The weather was poor with high wind and swell, leaving many seasick and the snorkelling non beneficial. The trip should have been cancelled. The crew were ok, friendly enough. I would like to think if the weather was better it would have been a great experience, but there may be better out there for the money.

What an amazing experience. My husband and I are newly certified SCUBA divers and wanted to check out the amazing Great Barrier Reef. This was the perfect tour to do it. We absolutely loved the motor sail journey and appreciated the smaller group. Our crew was absolutely incredible (Michaela, Julien, Sam, and Gabriel). Everyone was extremely knowledgeable and great teachers. We especially appreciated Gabriel and Sam who took us on our dives. If you are newer to SCUBA or even want to try it out for the first time, we highly recommend this tour. We never felt rushed, and the guides were great at pointing out the wildlife. We even saw a shark. The snorkelers also seemed to really enjoy their tour. All in all, great experience! (Feb. 2023)
