The Reading Village

Kellyanne is a wonderful teacher, my kids attend reading intervention sessions with her twice a week. She is very passionate about what she does, invests a lot of time in preparing the right activities for them and always takes in consideration their own personalities and abilities. All her sessions are individually planned and catered according to the child’s needs and also fun and entertaining to grasps their own interest and attention. We love the Reading Village space it’s a beautiful and calm set up and if you have other children you can always take them for a walk in the farm next door while your kid is working with her. I highly recommend her, she is an exceptional teacher ☺️

My daughter’s reading confidence has increased so quickly from participating in the small group sessions. The classes really are creative, she loves them. The hidden gem is Kellyanne’s passion for language, it’s transfused to my daughter. She’s now so self-motivated to read. I’m blown away by the changes tbh.

Kellyanne has created a fantastic resource when making The Reading Tower! The students love building the tower and trying to pull out the words. It makes reading fun and takes the pressure off actually reading the words as they are more focussed on the game. I love that the game can be used in different ways when working on different skills. It can be played with for an hour or for 5 minutes. You can provide more support and model how to blend the sounds for a child who isn't quite there yet. It's so much more engaging than using flash cards! Well done to The Reading Village for creating a wonderful, hands on, engaging game that early readers love!

We have had the opportunity to use The Reading Tower with our students and we absolutely love it! The game can be used in so many ways which is great. The children have loved playing the game in small groups and working on reading cvc words as they try to win the game.This is such a valuable resource that is going to be used for many years. The ‘reading tower’ is a wonderful resource we use in our literacy sessions. The children enjoy building the tower trying not to let it collapse too soon! Taking the pressure off reading a book is always a bonus! Great to have different levels of words too; I just grab what I need and off we go…Perfect for 1:1 sessions / home play and small groups.
