Secrets on the Lake

Stunning location away from the touristy section. As soon as you walk in and smell the food, you know it's going to taste good. Lovely menu and the food did taste divine. The timber buildings were beautiful and the view of the lake added to the ambience.

What a beautiful setting. Nestled in the trees and overlooking the lake. We received a warm welcome and even though it was cold, the gas heaters kept us comfortable. The lunch was delicious. Seafood chowder, beef Burger, espresso Martini bruleé, and apple custard pie. Service was quick and attentive. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Service was ok. We did wait a while wanting to order a second coffee - we tried to get the attention of a waiter right next to us and ended up going up to the counter only to be told To sit back down and they would come to us. But the food was delicious. The coffee was delicious. And the view was immaculate.They have toilets if you need one too, which is great.I will add though, was asked for mimosas but I hate orange juice so they let us choose a different juice - free of charge and when my fiend ordered a second one, our previous waiter came over to ask if she wanted a different juice because he remembered. That was nice.We would 100% come back here.

Reading other reviews has me confused!Myself and my partner have had the pleasure of staying in the tree house two times now.Experiences have been amazing! From start to end all encounters with staff positive.My favourite location.If I had more money it would be a regular.Nevertheless, the restaurant, we went to for valentines and the food / service / atmosphere was delightful.Breakfast at the Cafe was delicious.Food to the rooms, delicious.Couldn't fault in any aspect. Well Done team.

This place is hidden gem in forest. Everything in there are unique and breathtaking from the way to the place. Not only the wooden building, furniture, the view, but also the food is outstanding with very friendly service.I wish could place more than 5 stars.

We came to Secrets for a family lunch, and were unfortunately disappointed with several areas. It took approx 30mins and us flagging down 2 servers to have our orders taken. Our entrees took 1.5 hrs and our mains 2hrs. The food when it arrived was very ordinary; chicken burger was bland and mostly batter, the beef burgers were undercooked and raw in the centre. The steak was not great. None of the meals looked anything like the images online or as described in the menu. I'm not sure if there are new kitchen staff on.To top it off, 2 of us have had food poisoning from the chicken and beef burgers.Have been here before and had a good experience. We were very disappointed having read other positive reviews too.

Ever since the first time I visited Secrets 10 years ago, I wanted to get married here. This week my dream came true and it was perfect! Location is magical with the lake, rainforest and magnificent gardens. The Secrets wedding packages took all the stress out of wedding planning. I was able to have an intimate lakeside/garden ceremony and relaxed reception in a private hideaway planned in no time. Communication was excellent leading up to the wedding. Great range of suppliers to choose from and all were outstanding. All the staff were do helpful and cheerful. The treehouses our guests and us stayed in were truly luxurious and we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!
