Shout out to one of the staff, Shaun who helped us to rectify the total on the receipt. Staff are nice and friendly. The food was alright.

First visit, Mourning Day, the staff were delightful and food was great. Second visit last night, not so friendly staff and 4 of the 5 dishes were good but my steak, even medium rare, was tough. Not a great cut of meat. Nice pub though with lovely outdoor areas.

I booked a function with them well in advance. Avoca stuffed me around for weeks changing their mind about the party details & not responding to my emails, constantly had to chase them for confirmation & in the end they cancelled after the invitations had gone out to cater for other functions booked after mine! Won’t book there or dine there again!

Food was impeccable, service was fast and friendly. Special shout out to Bailey. My steak was cooked perfectly and couldn't fault the experience. I do miss the old menu and the prices on since the change are a bit over the top. But aside from that the experience was perfect.

There were 16 of us to feed and the Avoca Hotel did a great job. Not one person complained about their meal and we ate a variety of food. All the meals were served in blue bowls which was different. The meals were generous in size and were tasty The staff were very helpful and efficient in their service. We will come again.

Just there for lunch and had the haloumi (spelling?)burger and the fish and chips. The meals were nice and good portions too (not too big). Service was polite and efficient. Well done.There for lunch today 13/5/23. The pub is under going renos and looking quite good. The staff were very friendly and our meals were quite nice. I had the battered Barramundi (2 huge pieces) and my wife had the steak sandwich. Keep up the great work, guys!

Disappointed with my Rump that should be well done and was rare! Plus about 80g of fat and gristle from a 300g rump! So was a bit expensive for what you get.

My friend suggested that we stop we stop for a light lunch on this day - especially as I needed to stop in at Bake Boss next door to get some baking supplies.While I was next door , she ordered the Atlantic Salmon which was pan does in a Miso Glaze , and the Wheel of Baked Brie .The Brie was lovely and gooey , drizzled with a South Australian honey , and lightly toasted pistachios. It was served with lavosh - it was just right to share for a light repast .The stand out was the salmon - the miso glaze had a delectable umami flavour and it soaked into the salmon , which was moist and flavourful , and paired perfectly with the lightly steamed vegetables.Tables are spaced out well and there is plenty of room. We sat in Poppy’s Bar today , but often sit in the area called The Glasshouse a glasses in area , which is next The Decks . The Decks has an open sports bar and a casual wooden floor .Avoca has a very relaxed atmosphere and perfect for a long lunch and dinner , or just to sit and have several drinks.

High hopes with the new menu “Queensland steak” it was terrible, full of gristle, terribly cooked, whoever cooked it cannot cook a steak, not seared well they looked terrible and tasted accordingly. Both mine and my partners were terrible. And at over $40 each steak it was ridiculous. Service also poor from bar staff who were unfriendly & rude. Will not return.
