Lara Station Wetlands
An absolute oasis in the middle of the outback. Originally paid for one night and loved it so much that we stayed another 2 nights. A fair bit to do around the wetlands for free. A lot of other stations that do similar attractions incur extra fees. However there is a fee for Saturday nights camp oven shindig, but the entertainment was still free, great for all ages really.

Idyllic peaceful wetlands on a private cattle property. Owner and staff make this place a pleasure to visit and stay as long as you like. Fireplaces are provided. No power, but wood fired showers and toilets are dotted around the grounds. Will definitely return.

Great place to stay no power but has toilet and water to drink. Also a great hot spring had a great 3days. Working cattle station

Lara Station Wetlands
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Lots of things for kids to do which is a huge plus. Rustic facilities however they were perfectly adequate and clean. Firewood was available for sale at the office and it was great to be able to have a fire at your camp site. Live entertainment and tea/damper were a huge bonus as well. Overall this was a highlight of our trip and we will definitely be back.

Everything about this place is great. The location, the facility, the amenities and Jodie and her team who manage the place. We were there during the recent rains, so a slightly different experience. But the team made sure we were all doing OK and checked on us all regularly. They then kept us well informed about the state of the road and when it came time to leave made sure we could get through the boggy part of the track safely.Well worth a stay for the great people, bird life, tranquility and of course the hot pool.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Reasonable price, lots of room and space for families and birders like me. The staff were wonderful and genuinely friendly. The showers were very good but there are no bins, so take your rubbish home. Guaranteed to want to return. Thanks Lara
