friends of the pound have the best kept secret in Tweed Heads - as well as the gorgeous cats available for adoption they have a wonderful Pre Loved Op Shop with a great selection of well cared for clothes at very very reasonable prices. all proceeds go towards the care of the animals . much more affordable than the than other op shops. Truly awesome. Friendly and dedicated volunteers.

The staff are sooooo rude and that's an understatement!! It was my second visit today and we left empty handed because of the awful communication and rudeness we received from the staff. The first time no one was at the desk or in the car area, the phone was ringing off the hook and we were calling out for someone only to be met with I was on the phone!" Today was even worse when all 3 staff stood in a circle and completely ignored me even when I asked for help.It has totally put us off ever going there again and rescuing a cat. Really really disappointed!"

Best little cat .They called him Lexi.We adopted him.HIS NAME IS ERNIE.He knows he's been adopted so there you go he absolutely loves us ,What a beautiful little man .Toilet trained.So that was easyNow he's a big cuddly boy.Adoption is the best . My husband and I recently adopted Sooty from your Tweed location! It’s only been 3 days but it feels like he’s been with us forever. We are so grateful to you all, you were so helpful and friendly you made the process so easy for us. Adopting an older cat has been perfect for us, he is so cuddly and beautifully behaved. Staff are really kind and caring towards the animals. Great what they are doing for abandoned companion animals. We adopted a cat Kokomo and frequently purchase small things from their shop to support them.
