Salvos Stores Mount Barker
Way over priced . 20 year old esprit jacket for $45. 20 years ago would have cost $80.There was also a pair of men’s gloves with the lining ripped out , the foam was there $18! Do better!!!Reminder this stuff is donated . You get it for free!

Way too expensive. $98 for a vase. Mens jackets $60-$100..the list goes on. I don't know who is pricing their stock but they would currently have to be one of the most expensive Salvos in the state. It is disgraceful and backwards to be able to buy items cheaper NEW rather than second hand. Surely your profit margins and turnover would be greater if you dropped your prices.Do better.

Absolutely shocked by the exorbitant prices. We used to make special trips to Mt Barker just to visit this Salvos... never again. $18 for a torn head-scarf. $3500 for a used chair. New goods are more affordable. Don't know what went wrong at this store but it seemed to miss the brief on the ethos of the Salvation Army.

The most expensive second hand shop I've ever been to. Absolutely appalled.$25 for a second hand item that cost $30 new?! $20 for something that is $10 new?!These people should be ashamed. And no, cost of living has not gone up that much. On top of that, they want volunteers.Greedy greedy, all about money now.

There used clothing is now dearer than Kmart and Lowe's. Name brand around $65. They have lost touch with the strugglers.

One of the neatest second-hand stores I've come across. It's huge and well stocked. Prices are somewhat on the high side for used goods, though they are well presented.

The prices in this store are outrageous.Aside from damaged goods such as perished shoes, shirts and pants with broken seams+holes and moth hole jumpers being sold for prices no lower then 2 digits.I also came across a huge amount of items from fast fashion brands ( I have direct examples from these brands: zaful, shien cotton on, glassons) that were priced significantly higher then their retail price. What is going on here?? Even if this is no longer operating as a charity store, these prices are higher then the majority of good quality CURATED vintage shops.Instead of the employees pricing things as though they are “totally in the know” of what the “new” “hip” fashions are, take a step back and look at the colossal mounds of clothing within your store and then consider; that amount this isn’t even close to the amount of donated clothing that has to go to landfill because our stores are over run with donations. You all need to come back down to earth. It should never EVER be cheaper to shop brand new.

This store always has a huge selection of merchandise on offer. It is well organised and laid out for easy access. There is a huge range of 2nd hand clothes as well as household bricabrac. The furniture section also is quite extensive......from lounges to beds n desks it's all here at typical Salvation Army prices. Worth a visit.

A very clean, well stocked store but extremely expensive! Found quite a lot that was priced higher than new. Very disappointing.
