Mike Long has been doing our tax each year when we lived in Townsville and continues do to so even though we are now living in interstate. Mike makes our tax return process each year so easy as he is very knowledgeable, great to chat with if we have a query or concern and also is very good with explaining what can and cannot be claimed. I would have no problem in recommending Austax Townsville or Mike Long as I know that they are in good hands.

Used these guys years ago due to the fact they came recommended. I lodged one tax return with them for that year, while we were doing the taxes, I mentioned I had not lodged the year before. The woman told me that I legally could not do this until I lodged the year before's tax return. This unbeknownst to me at the time is not the case. I have been using the services of Austax Townsville for over 20 years and have had nothing but excellent service from them. Mike has become a good friend over that time and has provided me with outstanding professional service and advice. On one occasion, I had a very large Capital Gains Debt which Mike thought was excessive so he enquired, and investigated, right up to communicating with the Commissioner for Taxation on how that debt should be treated, resulting in the debt being reduced considerably. Due to being located in central Victoria, all my dealings with Mike at Austax are now done via email and phone, the best we have done is having my return completed, signed and submitted within 24 -48 hrs.
