Spotlight Carnegie

Been in a few times, and although it is well stocked, sometimes locating what you want is difficult. Unfortunately, finding staff to help is even trickier. The staff that are there are lovely, but clearly stretched too far.

Very disappointing…staff are good and helpful…..BUT the store itself is a mess. Wrong prices on items….so you are charged more at the checkout. Stock all over the place and in the incorrect place. A real mess and not a pleasure to shop. Where is the Management team! They were short staffed….lunchtime and had one nice salesperson on with a queue of customers.

Consistently appalling customer service at Spotlight in Carnegie. I dropped off my sewing machine for a service on 14 Jan, but decided not to proceed after cost was higher to repair than to purchase new. It’s now 6 Feb and I’ve had to phone twice to find out where my machine is. It’s not been returned to the store for pick-up and no one seems to know what’s going on. Each time I call I am placed on hold before speaking to at least three people who don’t seem to understand what I’m asking for. This includes the Store Manager who I asked to speed the investigation along. I’ve been given the number for Sam directly who services their machines offsite, but there seems to be little to no symmetry in communications between the two parties. I am still without my machine.Do not take your machine here for a service unless you have time to take on the administration, put up with long phone wait times and clueless staff. I would recommend going back to the machine manufacturer or perhaps Sam himself directly when Spotlight inevitably palm off the administrative responsibility.

Consistently disappointing, very hard to get someone to help you, expect to wait 10 min each time. Then it's luck of the draw on who you get. Half the time they are great and very helpful, the other half of the time the staff have no knowledge of spotlights products or systems.

A big THANK YOU to Simone whom helped us out on the weekend with our Blinds/Curtain purchase. Simone was not only friendly, and went out of her way to help, but was also incredibly knowledgeable about the products. In a world where customer service is key, Simone really is a keeper!

Spotlight is in the Carnegie Central Shopping Centre on the upper level. Underground carparking was a bit jam packed with confusing and difficult to see One Way" signs and frequent logjams with cars going the wrong way in the very busy area on a weekday afternoon. Store was crowded to the rafters as usual with a wide range of homewares and craft products. Very helpful staff who seemed to know where everything was and not too hard to find a staff member to help. An item we had set aside for us from another store was quickly found without any fuss and our transaction was completed very quickly without any hassle. Great shopping experience

I really love spotlight and the products, especially range of fabric and yarn. The prices are good, I recommend signing up for the VIP program. However unfortunately some of the staff are quite rude, and the customer service is not very good at times.

We had a wonderful shopping experience at Spotlight Carnegie. The store has wide variety of art, craft and home decor items. Most of the items have discount offers and others are competitively priced. Store staff seemed friendly and professional. We bought an Elna sewing machine and we got a great deal on that. Theodora, who was kind of an expert in sewing machines, was very helpful in explaining different machines and their features. She made our shopping experience even better.Unlike other stores, Spotlight was well equipped with staff availability. Signage was good and the design of store made it easy to find items while meandering around.Parking at the shopping centre was available despite weekend. Toilets are located at the top floor which might be an issue for some as the access appeared to be through stairs only.

Good art craft supplier. Always kind and well managed. Sometimes short of stocks which means how popular is this store. Very convenient
