Goodyear Autocare Mentone

I recently had my car serviced with Goodyear Mentone and although the staff were friendly the overall experience of the service was average.I purchased a VIP loyalty" package valued at $191 (which was sold by a 3rd party company hired by GY) which made it seem like I would be "saving" a lot on servicing.After leaving my car for its service I did not hear from GY all day until I received a generated message saying my car was ready to be picked up. I was shocked that on arrival I was made to pay $300 for the service that day.I have learnt not to accept door-to-door sales offers. However

Purchased 4 tyres from Tyresales.com.au for my RAV4, to be fitted at this place. On the day of installation, I left the car and after 30 min received call - cannot be done - wheel bolts damaged. Checked with my mechanic - all good. Went back and grumpy owner agreed that they are wrong. I loaded tyres to my car and went to Bridgestone in Doveton. Job was done. EDITED: Order number provided on request from 'owner' after they responde ORDER B2C272610, 1/3/22. There was no other close place that provides free wheel balance but Doveton.

Sorry guys, you were just too busy to really give me a quote. On shopping you around the additional charges that you wanted just weren't presented to me with other tyre vendors.A scrap of paper as a quote for a $800 job.Staff had great knowledge of product but perhaps I was there on the wrong day.I saved over $200 for same job.

The car needed a fair bit of work. David kept me up to date with all the findings. They were transparent throughout the whole process.

I just bought a new to me new car. I had a RWC, new tyres and brakes done at Goodyear Mentone. Toby was very friendly and great to deal with. Pricing was better than expected too.

Bought prepaid car service for my daughter's car and havn't been able to get it booked in before she goes back to uni in Canberra. They are weeks out??? I was told when I bought it from the door salesman that I would have no trouble booking this (how stupid am I). Do not buy prepaid for Goodyear. Small claims here I come because I doubt they will hand back my money.

Can’t speak highly enough about Sara and the team at Mentone. Had a puncture which I expected to not be repaired for a few days, to my surprise Sara organised for it to be done on the spot. The young chap who completed the job was so polite and helpful and Sara was a delight. So lovely to deal with such an friendly accomodating lady. Thank you again Sara, you made my day!!

Called to see if they had any availability to look at my car. Lady who answered was ok but passed me to who I assume is the Franchise owner and he was rude and dismissive. Talked down when I asked questions.Just from that experience alone I would not take my car here.Really put me off.

Unbelievable!!! I have pre-paid for a major service and booked my service in advance. When I arrived 8AM on the day I was approached but not more then a sales person who was trying to get me to pay more (explaining to me that in order to replace the plugs they need to pull the whole engine out). When I told him that I am not interested, and that I am just after a normal service he was very disappointed. I left the car there just to receive a call @ 2:09PM and be told that there are delays in servicing my car since there is a lot of work on other cars. I have explained that I need the car for school pick up and was told ‘ ok then, we won’t start working on your car”. When I came to pick up the keys and car I have explained that I have planned the day and dropped the car early (as instructed) in order to make the school pick up. There was no care or any responsibility taken at all. My feeling is that, Since they were not able to get more money out of me I am not that important. To add to that, they have already ticked my service book to show that they have performed the service which is clearly should be the last step of the service. Clearly not a reliable place to get your car serviced. Not sure how I can get my money back!

A bit disappointed with my first service experience with GY, I was persuaded by a marketing person to purchase their VIP voucher for $198. Today, I sent my car for service, and they called to inform me of extra charges for tyre rotation and wheel alignment, which we agreed upon. However, upon picking up the car, I asked about the condition of the tyres, and they told me that all four were quite old and needed replacement. I questioned why they did the tyre rotation and alignment if I needed new tyres, and they informed me that if I purchased new tyres from them, they would waive the fee. However, upon comparing their quotation with other places, I found their prices to be much more expensive. Essentially, I spent $149 on a meaningless tyre rotation and alignment. This was not a very professional way to handle the service. Additionally, with the voucher savings, I still had to pay $288 for the service, which was not very economical.
