$10 per night camping permit purchased on-line. A lovely bush camping area consisting of many individual sites. A few long drop toilets scattered around and plenty of bins. No other amenities. Impressive scenery including low cliffs, inshore reefs and a beautiful beach a short walk away.

Looked like a great camping spot. We didn't camp. Composting toilet. Greening Australia there planting up the dunes to stop erosion and people. Great job.

We had an amazing time camping here. It's great. A couple of things:- Be sure to check the fireban season dates before lighting a camp fire.- To camp here does require you to buy a camping permit with a small charge. Google Yorke Peninsula camping, to find out more and pay. Rangers check often for permits and fines can be hefty, so it's not worth the risk.- There were no mosquitoes, but flies were common about 3 hours after sunrise and 2 hours before sunset.- Bees are in the area looking for water to cool their hives. Best to prepare a bee bath and set up away from your camp, so you don't have them buzzing around.- There are also occasional march flies here that can sting, so bring repellent.- There are long drop toilets here but they're very basic. Better than nothing though.- There's native wildlife here, like sleepy lizards and blue tongue lizards. If you're lucky you might also see kangaroos and emus. Beware of snakes as they're bound to be out there too.- Your camping neighbours can be unpredictable. Mostly people are very nice and courteous. Some can be louder than most at night.- You can hear the waves washing onto the beach at night in the distance, making the ambient noise peaceful and amazing. You can hear it even if camping towards the back away from the beach.- Some camping spots are more exposed than others. Choose your spot wisely if you can.- Be aware that the wind mostly blows from the west or south-west and it can become strong, so be careful of tent location placement if camping in one of the exposed sites.- In the morning there is a good variety of birds chirping around. While nice to see them, they can be an early sunrise visitor capable of compromising your planned morning sleep in.- Be sure to use the number of available bins to dispose of your rubbish. The place is nice to visit and it would be great if everyone did their part to keep it like that.
