Terrible experience. Politely asked for them to fix a minor issue with a nail and was treated like I had asked for a million dollars. Their reaction left me in tears. Avoid and go anywhere else!Edited to respond to their response.Not sure who Rosie is as I’m referring to my own experience. Clear that this is a regular occurrence and definitely will not be returning.

Don’t bother going here. They might do your nails nice but the sour faces ruin the experience - especially if you plan to be a regular. After 18months going here I give up. Go to USA nails on Oxford instead - Talented AND friendly!!

I’m always very happy with my nails by sapphire. But when she’s not available the other girls are also very good as well. They also do lovely pedicures.

I have one ethos when it comes to jobs.“If you are so bloody unhappy with your work, leave and find a new one that rocks your boat”I went in to remove my SNS, get pedicure done and get another SNS polish. I got this staff member who was just plain rude, unpleasant and toxic. She didn’t know how to smile and her tone when speaking was just appalling.Next - because they never have a fixed price and keep changing their costs, I never carry cash in there. And Lo and behold - they now have “cash only”I said to the lady - no worries, happy to withdraw money and pay once the service is done since we started already. When she finished with me and I told her I was going to get her $70 from the ATM, she told me to leave behind a valuable possession of mine with her. I left my kindle then and went to withdraw the $70 and paid it to them.If you are so concerned that people may just leave without paying - have you not heard of an eftpos machine ? Hiding income to evade tax here I see ?I am never going back here again !!

I have had acrylic/shellac/sns/gel nails every fortnight for the past thirteen years (aside from the Covid lockdown and I was there the first day they opened back up) and I discovered California Nails 10 years ago and won’t go anywhere else. I have tried other salons while travelling or at other locations due to convenience and the quality does not compare! Sometimes I travel 2 hours if I am not in the city just to have them done as Lisa and the girls are hands down THE BEST! Their level of attention to detail is second to none! I am VERY fussy with my nails and they have worked with me to get the exact colours and style that I like - even so much as a certain level of thickness for me so that they still look beautiful but do not chip and always last - sometimes up to a month if I have to push it (and the only reason I want them done again is due to growth!)If I am in a hurry, I call ahead to let them know and they will always work to my time frame if I give them notice or even tell me that they can’t squeeze me in so I do not run late. The beautiful range of colours and their knowledge about the best products for a persons nails are what really makes them stand out! I also find it does not matter who you are - they always complete the work to an exceptionally high standard!I am so grateful to have found California Nails and highly recommend you visit them and make up your mind for yourself! Many of their customers return again for the same reasons as me - their work can be as arty and over the top as you want or as beautiful and basic.I should have taken the time to write this review sooner, but better late than never! I can’t believe that after having such a horrible experience in your nail salon, I have to write another review to defend myself after you have completely lied about what happened.When I called you to see if I could come back in to have my nails fixed, you screamed at me on the phone, not allowing me to get a word in. You eventually told me to come back in at 9.15am the next day so I did, you then told me you had booked me for 10.15am, I responded with “I’m sorry that’s not right, I wouldn’t have agreed to 10.15am as I have to be at work”.Instead of talking to me to organise another time, you turned your back and ignored me until I had no other option but to walk out. I have never in my life told someone they are ‘required’ to do something - the truth is I walked out crying because you spoke over me and then ignored me.I also did not reschedule 5 times, I rescheduled twice as I was unable to come in later that day because of work, after the miscommunication of my appointment time that morning.Saying that you had to re schedule other clients because I kept re-scheduling is ridiculous - that never happened.When I came back in there was only 3 customers and many of your staff members were free.You said that the reason my nails didn’t turn out well was because of my natural nails, this makes no sense as I had the same service I’ve always had and my natural nails are the same as they’ve always been, and I’ve never been unhappy before - when I said this to you, you shrugged your shoulders and walked off.It makes me so sad that I was treated so unkindly, and now I have to justify my behaviour because you have straight out lied about what happened. I have never spoken badly to you or any of your staff members, I have only ever spoken to you kindly and have recommended many of my friends to your business in the past. I even tipped my nail technician $15-$20 every time I got my nails done to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job.It’s very apparent in your replies to other negative reviews that you are unable to take accountability for your poor customer service. I have no control over other customers writing you reviews, but it’s obvious that other people have had the same experience as I did, hopefully they didn’t walk out crying too.If you don’t want to make a big scene of a customers experience at your business, then I suggest you start by telling the truth.Also luck to anyone wanting a refund as your business only accepts cash and does not offer receipts.

This place is AMAZING. The team are gorgeous and so helpful and experts in nail care. They are very accommodating. My nails last perfectly for 3 weeks (which is when I decide they’ve grown out enough). Cannot fault them and I’m so happy I found them :)

Ive been getting my nails done here for over 10 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Great friendly service, clean, and always leave with my nails looking fantastic. Highly recommend
