Koorawatha Homestead Motel

If you are travelling and need a stop over I highly recommend Koorawatha Homestead. Its very easily accessible from the Bruce highway and has ample parking if you are towing a caravan, boats or trailers.The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it has beautiful mountain views out the back.The meals are fantastic and the rooms are spotless.Fabulous family owned business guys show them support.You wont be disappointed.

Great old style Motel type accommodation. Newly renovated rooms that are well thought out. Young owner is very passionate and offers wonderful customer focused service. Meals were very good and affordable. Far enough from main highway to provide reasonable quiet throughout the night. Great spot to stop after 10 hours on the road.

We stayed 1 nightWe prebooked and spoke tothe young man in reception who was very pleasant and helpful.What a refreshing change to walk into a lovely clean unit.Our room was very fresh and clean with lovely views of hills and garden. A beautifully maintained pool. Breakfast and dinner available to your room.Will definitely be back

Me and my couple stayed there for two nights and they were great. Friendly staff, really comfy bed, everything was clean and being fully renovated also helped. The surroundings are gorgeous and you have a wooden bench facing the mountains that is perfect to seat and relax with a cold beer that you can buy there too. The bathroom wasn’t renovated but anyway it was completely clean. Also want to add that there was a strange smell in our room probably because everything was new and I think it could be from the sheets or the new wardrobe but nothing relevant. They have my 5 stars, recommend 100%

The service was outstanding. The owner, Bill is so accommodating to your needs and the fact the rooms are dog friendly makes it that extra special. The food is delicious and the rooms are clean and provide all that is needed for an overnight stay. We will certainly be stopping again when travelling through. Definately a hidden gem that I would recommend to all.

The rooms are amazing with a wonderful grass area for kids to run around. A beautiful and clean place to stay. I would recommend anyone to stay here. The food was very affordable and very yummy. Even though it’s next to the highway you don’t hear the traffic. Such an achievement to the owner to be able to have such a beautiful and clean accommodation.

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt I needed to share how pleasurable our stay was here. We were warmly welcomed like family (as were our dogs) and fed a yummy home style dinner and breakfast brought to our door. These comforts were exactly what we needed whilst on a long and tiring family road trip. Nothing was too hard, and everything was seamless from check in to check out. Simple, but immaculately clean and fresh rooms, good quality linen, and comfy beds. All for such a reasonable price. Thank you, we will definitely make this our regular stop on long drives.

Great place to rest after a long drive from Mackay, very comfortable bed great size room good shower, in room service for dinner and a great sunset over the ranges

Lucky me! I only chose this wonderful motel to stay at because I was looking for a halfway driving point between Brisbane and Mackay. I hadn't looked at any previous reviews. Lucky me because I won't hesitate to come back here again. Very happy. I usually look for cleanliness, quiet, roomy rooms, pet friendly and a good shower! It had all these plus very good food and service. A gem of the North.
