Gladstone Scenic Lookout

Great little lookout with some instagram able pic sites.

I'm very intrigued by the memorial of cairns. I can't find the story behind it.

The scenic lookout over the Gladstone National Park is next to the North West Coastal Highway, about 250m off the main road.The views are beautiful from the hill on an otherwise fairly flat area through Western Australia. There are a few hills scattered here but this one has a road up to the top to the lookout.The lookout is quite simple with some railings and a rubbish bin. Gladstone Scenic Lookout is on the top of a flat topped hill, the top views of the surrounding countryside, salt pans and granite rocks There are no amenities and there is no shade. Great 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape.

Definitely worth the minor deviation. Awesome views. Hang on to your door when you open it, she’s windy up there

An interesting 2 minute detore from the main toad. The view is very informative. You just never know what is behind that hill, drive up and find out.There is a monument to lost loved ones. You would be surprised how people commemorate the departed.

Will come back every time we pass. An absolutely amazing view that can not be captured in film nor explained. It's beauty is next to none

An amazing view with some memorials - some touching, some weird. And just a few minutes off the main road.

I've lived here in the north most of my 44 years and never went here...it was super touching.Passed on loved ones tributes of remembrance and great landscape veiws

It's worth a look if you're passing. There's a huge parking area with rubbish bins but no toilets. Good views all around over the the plains. There's three memorial cairns there with a lot of names. One is full of gnomes and is a bit spooky. Signs around saying that there is no camping allowed.If this review has been helpful please like it.
