Sails in the Desert
We had a very great stay during our time in Ayers rock! Big shout out to Honami! She was very kind and professional in providing service during our stay! Our first room had twin beds, and it was quite uncomfortable for my partner and i to share the bed. So we phoned reception and asked for a room change, Honami handled it very quickly and professionally. The twin bedroom however, did have alot of issues, the safe was broken, hot water dial on the shower was not fully functional, we only had one robe in that room.. but after the room change, the kind bed room had all functioning amenities. The hotel is a 2minute walk to the town centre, which is very convenient! It also has a buffet restaurant and a pool restaurant. There is a town bus that stops at all resorts and main areas in Ayers rock.My only complaint is that the swimming pool is NOT insulated. It felt like the arctic waters from Antarctica. And also the rooms don’t seem to have a nice view from the balcony.Nonethless, the hotel has great reception open 24hrs, the staff are kind and friendly, i would recommend this hotel as it might be more affordable than others.

The staff were fantastic! Shout out to Shiva, an absolute legend, who is capable of juggling anything and making it work. Also shout out to the friendly and welcoming staff in the restaurant, pool side cafe, the room service staff and the front desk staff. All patient and helpful. The food was really good. Lots of options. Fresh and tasty.

This resort is the 5 Star accommodation in Yulara. The restaurant buffet breakfast and dinner are quality, good variety and the lobby bar food is also delicious and various options. There is a pool and beach towels are provided, poolside bar and chairs to relax. Bring a hat and sunscreen, its full sun over the pool until the afternoon. Access to wifi in the resort and shuttle bus to move around or an easy walk to the range of restaurants and local lookouts. Definitely a fantastic bucketlist stay and worth seeing as much as you can during your stay.

Had a lovely experience here. The staff were lovely, the views were great and the food was topnotch. However, please train your employees to be respectful towards guests, specifically Jasmine. She was extremely curt, impatient and uncooperative while checking us in. Really put us off.Thank you Shiva, and the rest of the team for ensuring we had a comfortable stay.

The hotel reception area is beautiful - clean and spacious with a comfortable cafe and nice (but very expensive) shop. The restaurant was also nice with excellent staff. The accommodation blocks are really old but the room itself was renovated and lovely (except for the carpet which was the most horrible design!). Our room had a spacious terrace with lovely furniture but was very dirty with dust and leaves and the furniture too dirty to sit on. We asked reception to have it cleaned but it was not done before we left, so was unusable. Overall, the resort is nice, but definitely not up to 5.0 stars as advertised due to its accommodation blocks.

4 months ago one of the tours I booked was cancelled due to poor weather. I have chased this refund up over 20 emails, numerous phone calls and with 5 different different voyages team members. I have sent my bank details over 5 times, and asked for a manager to call me which still has not happened. I have even been sent someone else’s card details during this process. I am appalled at this lack of customer service and extremely frustrated. Would not recommend booking with this company at all

Amazing resort in the middle of the desert. Newly renovated. All the staff went above and beyond. Special thanks to Johnny and Cyrus and Trisha the girl on early morning duty who went out of their way to help me. I’m a light sleeper and was concerned that the air conditioning might be too loud as mentioned in the review, but that was not the case. It was whisper quiet. The dinner buffets were amazing, especially the lamb. The swordfish at the bar beside the buffet was also amazing. Loved all the trees and nature, a true oasis in the middle of the desert. Very quiet and relaxing vibes.Make sure to get an Accor Plus card so you save 25% dining for one, 50% off couples and 33% off for 3 and 25% off for 4. This also gives you priority check in otherwise if you were the last one checking in after arrival at the hotel behind everyone else on the plane, you might find yourself waiting for over an hour. Now I love the resort, but warning! Not all their excursions are great. The Kings Canyon excursion, sound of silence dinner and drone show through Ayers Rock Resort are a must! I would highly recommend! Make sure to book these well ahead of time. They will be gone by the time you book them a couple weeks before arrival.BUT, I would highly recommend avoiding the Astro tour through Ayers Rock Resort. It was very short just one hour and in the resort where light pollution prevented you from seeing the full Milky Way. With my stargazing lust completely unsatisfied I rebooked through a different company the next night. I would highly suggest going with Uluru Astro tours, a separate company which offered a three hour tour, right in the heart of Uluru park and with professional photography. It was UNFORGETTABLE! You would miss this if you book through Sails in the desert. The Uluru sunset tours and Kata Juta were ALSO slightly disappointing. Although the itinerary sounded like it was action packed with lots to see, it was really just all located within one location. You did not get a chance to stop at various points around Uluru besides drive around it. There was only a single spot near the water hole where we got off. I didn’t get to see Uluru in full and in hindsight would definitely not do it. This tour is only great for seniors or if you’re short on time. Likewise for Kata Juta. These tour buses will also be packed with over 50 people. If you’re under the age of 40 I would highly highly recommend going by yourself on the hop on hop off (much cheaper too) or taking the Segway or guided 12km hike around Uluru. Or find a tour company with smaller groups like SEIT (though I have not tried them)You can’t go wrong staying at this resort, but just be mindful when planning your excursions.

Sails in the Desert
What a stunning place. The website doesn't do the resorts at Yulara any favours! The reception, gardens, service, rooms and people at Sails in the Desert are wonderful. The buffet breakfast is delicious. The ONLY negative is the temperature of the pool. It is freeeezing, like ice-bath cold.Highly recommend the whole experience that is Ayers Rock Resort.

The staff here is AMAZING. I sprained my ankle walking and they were so accommodating and kind. Always offered to help and greeted us by name. It’s great to see a friendly face coming back from exploring
