Had lunch there. Wasn't busy at the time. Service was good. Food was quite good. Prices were reasonable. Happy to go back there again.

We shared a entree of wontons, which were crunchy and yummy with a side of sweet and sour sauce. We enjoyed a lunch special of beef with cashews and fried rice. We enjoyed tender beef and a range of fresh veggies. Lots of locals which is a good sign. Waitress had a friendly personality, she meet everyones needs in a busy restaurant, as did the chef. Great value for money. Well done!

Fairly solid Aussie/Asian type food. Not the greatest going round but pretty tasty and bonus marks for being open when most places in town had closed and getting our food pretty quickly

We had smorgasbord .. I think they only do on Sundays. It was really good. I had never tried rainbow beef that was nice. BYO drinks. Take away was very busy.

Food was tasty! Dare I say, reminiscent of my time growing up in South East Asia.We ordered their special fried rice, fried kway teow, lemon chicken, sweet & sour fish (I’d give them an extra star just for this dish!) and garlic prawns (pictured).As you’ll read in the ratings, their deco hasn’t been updated in a long time...unless they are going for the late 80s, early to mid 90s look and vibe.Would visit again.Additional note: It was chilly in there. It would have been a nice touch had they had an extra heater (or two) turned on.

This is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had & I've sampled Chinese food all over Australia! The restaurant itself looks slightly run-down but looks are deceiving- the food is absolutely amazing! It was packed full in the restaurant, there were other customers lining up at the counter & the phone was ringing off the hook. My order of pork with vegetables & fried rice was so good I burnt my tongue because I ate it so quickly! Definitely worth the wait & highly recommend!

Love the Chinese food in Stawell’s New Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant! Authentic dishes with good prices. The food was great, I love the won ton soup, like the highest quality home cooked meals without the over the top insta ready presentation. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend!
