Since retiring in 2019, I’ve found a group of like minded individuals with an interest in the world and continued learning through Melbourne City U3A. The city location is key for me, with all the venues centrally located and accessible by public transport. Since I joined I’ve done classes in Spanish, guitar, history and photography. My classmates are great with varied backgrounds that make for interesting and amusing class and after class activities!How did I have time for work?

I love U3A. I retired in 2017 and since then have pivoted from work to fun and games with U3A. I am a cyclist and a bridge player as well as a tutor. All great fun and fulfilling.

I found U3A Melbourne to provide a very welcoming and efficient (and economical!) membership service for me, as a newly semi-retired person. I have joined as an Associate member, being already a member of a suburban U3A .. but central U3A Melbourne offers a vast arrange of additional classes and activities, but best of all, great comradery.

As a new arrival in Melbourne in my sixties, U3A Melbourne City was my lifeline and a wonderful way to make friends in my new city. The Let's Do" activities are my favourites but I've also enjoyed French and Spanish language courses."
