On passing thru the town, we read reviews in Wikicamps about the great sausages here, so we stopped and bought some, plus other meat. The meat was as expected from a butcher shop, no complaints there, but the flavoured sausages? They were SO fatty and tasteless. I am glad we only bought 4. Yuk.

Just enjoyed 2 rump steaks bought there this week. Beautiful flavour and as tender as a sirloin. Good price too. Highly recommend.

Camped up in Richmond yesterday and decided to try the local butcher to get some steaks for dinner.Bought a couple of sirloin steaks and a few of the taco and chilli sausages.Absolutely beautiful meat, the steaks were nicely marbled and when cooked had a perfect texture and outstanding flavour.We enjoyed the taco sausages, who doesn’t like tacos?The chilli sausages were awesome, slight amount of heat with a chorizo like flavour.All our purchases were at a reasonable price and the service was fantastic,If your staying in Richmond or even just passing through do yourself a favour and stop at the butcher, you won’t be disappointed.

The service and products from this classic country butcher was second to none. We were in town with the van for a few days which also coincided with our sons birthday. He requested a pork roast. The roast was amazing so were the sausages we purchased. However the porterhouse we got is seriously the best steak I have ever had. The flavor was amazing and you could cut it with a butter knife. If you are coming through Richmond stop and fill up your esky it is worth it. BTW did I mention the service was good old fashioned country service with a smile.
