For those who are interested, here is a detailed review of our experience with AHD.Our experience with AHD began well. Peter (director) came over and gave us his assurances that he could take care of Town Planning for a simple external job (enclosing an outdoor space). He assured us that all we needed was Town Planning and then we would be ready to build.Shortly afterwards the problems arose. The person that measured our space was not Peter. When they submitted the drawings, there were several errors. The South and North elevations were incorrectly labelled. I also had re-measure several measurements because they were incorrect. A re-measure occurred after much back-forth, which had further errors that I had to correct. I later found out the person doing the measurements was a graduate who did not have proper supervision for their work.To make matters worse, in the process of obtaining our drawings, we were asked to pay another $2200 for work we did not commission nor need. This fee was almost double what we had initially agreed. When we got the drawings, it took 9 months longer than we had been told. Let me be clear - it was a simple job, converting one external space into a room.The next issue is perhaps the most distressing. We obtained town planning, but were told we needed a building permit, despite Peter's initial assurances. We went through the process of a building permit and were quickly informed that the drawings provided by AHD were insufficient. We requested updated drawings (specifically, working drawings"). I sent numerous emails about this in 2022

Call AHD, Pete, Dimi and the whole team are the best. We've been thrilled with their work. They worked relentlessly and diligently to design the house of our dreams. Watching Pete sketch out ideas in real time is awe inspiring, he's a real talent. And all of this at an incredibly good price. We are so grateful for bringing our dreams to life. Highly recommend!
