Qi Traditional Chinese Massage

My gift voucher (90 mins) expired last week. The manager did not want to accept it. Rather poor customer service! And greedy owner/ manager. I cannot recommend Qi Traditional Chinese Massage place. Especially if you are thinking of getting a gift voucher (which by the way was valid for a month!!!). Bad business practice.

I have been have been a frequent customer here for years - whenever my lower back played up after too much gardening or when I had a stiff neck from office work. They've always managed to fix me, at a very good price, with no fuss and whenever I needed it. Also, you can claim your remedial massage on your private health fund.

Added review: I took the offer and went back, and I was all happy and satisfied with the massage this time. All the muscle tensions are gone now and I almost felt asleep during the massage. Highly recommend therapist Fei, she is very good. Would go again to try the foot massage.Not happy with the service, spent one hour there and the tension on my shoulder were still there after the session, feel the service is more of like rubbing the muscle instead of massaging. Not professional.

I have been going to this place for remedial massage for last 3 years. The quality of massage varies depending on service provider however they have been quite professional overall. The facilities are basic but the service is very high standard.

I absolutely loved the massage. It was hard pressure and attention to sore areas as I love. It a toddler hard to communicate with therapists though if you want something not straightforward.

Qi is something altogether different and I highly recommend them. It’s a small place – when you walk in you are greeted by name and provided with green tea. Then the foot massage begins and it really can’t be beat. The foot massage actually starts with a head massage to relax you – while your feet are soaking and warming up. That’s just a bonus and doesn’t count towards your allotted foot massage time.The masseuse asked me if I had any particular areas I wanted worked on, what my preference was for pressure (soft, hard) which he demonstrated and by the end, I had actually dozed off. I felt wonderful, but the true test was, my feet felt wonderful for days after, too.I paid for 30 minutes, when I woke up and checked my watch, it had been more than 40 minutes.Great value, great PERSONAL service, great massage.I’ve now booked a series of 5 appointments – because the massage was outstanding, the value for money is outstanding and you also get a free massage after every five 60 minute massages. What’s not to love about this place?

Updated: Today I had my first full body massage. The therapist was the best and most talented ever. Always asked about pressure preference and knew my body better than anyone so far! Previous review: Expert and effective massage. Highly Recommended! I have had a serious lower spine injury for decades and the masseur at Qi was the best I've had for many many years. She could obviously sense my injury site without being told and chased away the muscle tension extremely effectively. Safe hands!

I would call myself a regular, amazing experience and yes the best remedial in Canberra. However, last time I visited I feel as if the last masseuse I had (Lis), wasn't very professional. She didn't once ask me how the pressure was and the next day I was left with a very sore neck. I had to ask her to lighten the pressure 3 times.
