Miles Ahead Blinds & Awnings

Dean took my large deposit for zip track blinds 6 months ago and gave me no product. Promised me a refund, shut the factory, website and his phone down and hasn’t communicated since. Dean if you read this please “have a heart” and get in touch.

We used Dean a few years ago and were very pleased with both his service and product. So we thought we wouldold use him again at our new house. He came and measured up asked for 50% deposit so sent off just over $3200 he said blinds would be ready around 2nd June. Didn't hear from him tried to contact him and like others, found his number disconnected fb page gone spoke to his real estate agent who told us he had defaulted on rent and had just cleared out the factory. I feel sorry if he has gone under but I can't afford to lose this money I don't have an income we are using our savings. We will be taking it further

Ive realised by reading these reviews my husband and I have had over 3k of our money taken by Dean. We ordered blinds in April and Dean advised they would take 6-8 weeks. He followed up with me last month saying they aren’t too far away and now I have found these reviews.. to say I’m devastated it an under statement. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant and we cannot just lose our money like this !! Dean, please give our money back if you can’t supply the product.

Dean was outstanding. From quotation through to install. From dealing with Covid restrictions to Christmas rush nothing was too much trouble. We had just one ziptrack blind installed on our back deck, everything he said it would do, it does.....No hesitation in recommending for any blind job big or small. Keep up the good work and thanks again Dean.

This guy took money from us too and promised blinds.. Now the mobile number is disconnected and website is down. I have made formal complaint to consumer affairs. I see more reviews here regarding his similar frauds to others. Have made an application to VCAT to get my money back. Hopefully we can catch him.

Dean Miles has taken our deposit and no blinds after over 10 weeks. Phone/website both offline. Dean I bet you are reading these messages, we will keep chasing you until you pay back the money you took!

Appears the business has failed. The office location is up for lease from 14/6/2022 and a 484 company change form has been submitted to ASIC on 8/6/2022 at 20:06, signed by Dean Miles. Suggest reviewing the changed ASIC data after 15/6/2022 to allow for 7 day change period to occur. Kemp & Partners are the registered agent for the business. Company website/email and phone number are disconnected/suspended.EDIT: ASIC update changed the registered address of the business from another location to the now defunct business location.EDIT: The business has been liquidated and Vince and Associates (+61 3 9793 5588) are the appointed External Administrators. Paid a deposit in March this year of over $3000 for prepayment of material and a promise of installation within 5 weeks. Since then no blinds and it seems Dean has taken the money and run, other people have suffered the same result. Fraud comes to mind as he knew he had problems when he asked for the money upfront.

Do not order from Dean, He has just taken off with a very large amount of money from ourselves and suppliers.. For legal reason I can't say amounts but his website is disconnected, his phone is disconnected and his emails don't go through.

Hi Dean your phone is disconnected and I’ve emailed you but no reply. You have taken over $2000 from me for the blinds deposit and still no blinds. We need that money back. Would appreciate at least you answer your emails and advise.
