This would have to be one of the very best historic tours we have done. Owners and residents of this majestic Victorian mansion - Andy and Anne - provided us with an in-depth insight into the history of an absolutely amazing building set in beautiful surroundings in a rural location. This is a must visit place if anyone should be in Penola and Coonawarra district in South Australia. Thank you so much for having us view and enjoy your beautiful home.

Would love to visit have seen it online and looks worth seeing. Will do next time in the SE. The Penola Visitor Centre was very helpful and passed on the information. Unfortunately it was too late to plan in our limited time. Contact Penola Visitor Centre before your down that way to get details of future open days.

Yallum Park is a medium size victorian style mansion, (that was built by John Riddoch in 1878 -1880) and it is one of the best preserved historic houses in South Australia. Inside of the house are plenty of interesting things to see, as antique furniture, beautiful antique fireplaces, antique clocks, paintings, books and photos. The house and park are private property, so if you want to visit that place you need to put in contact with the owner.

Extremely interesting tour of this beautiful home by its owner. The dining room was definitely my fav. Imagine sitting down to dinner here

An interesting piece of local history. A grand old two storey house. For a fee - $10 adults or $5 child, the owner will take you on a guided tour of the lower floor rooms only.Showcasing beautiful old furniture, detailed wallpapers, gold leaf highlights. This house is still very much a private residence for the owner and his family and is a work in progress. You may wander around the gardens at your leisure after the tour.No photos allowed indoors.
