I’m sorry this place was once my favourite shop for a treat especially there vanilla slices, which it had won awards for. It was beautiful. 2019-2020… Though I’m fairly certain the owners changed somewhere near than & I’m not sure what happened but, both the texture n flavour which makes it special- both changed! plus the price went right up too! Shouldn’t of changed a thing it was fine the way it was. $9:00 vanilla slice no sale from me unfortunately. Honest review please don’t take it as bad criticism just an honest opinion.

So excited that French lettuce opened in the East. Still far away for me but I was a big fan of the Carlton store and this is marginally closer. Cakes look amazing as expected. My favorite fruit tarts and cheesecake are as good as Carlton of not fresher. Heaps of staff working who were friendly and helpful on arrival. Worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Clean and simple setting for dining in. I had the beef pie served hot with my usual almond latte. I was happy I found another good pie shop altho we had to drive to this branch to find out how good they were. Gleadell market products were very satisfactory.

Don't have to go far now ...Beef Bourguignon pie is amazing, soft crust and holds those chucky, tender, no runny gravy and just right ...One of the nicest custard sugar donuts too, a bit sinful not too sweet.

The vanilla slice is outstanding. Buttery light but crispy pastry on top. Filling is creamy but not overly sweet. Extremely satisfying.I also love their beef and burgundy pie. The pastry is rich and buttery. The filling is hearty with good chunks of meat and well seasoned.I’m so glad they have a second location in the suburbs.

Very average experience and little customer service. My partner and I decided to dine in and ordered two hot pies, a coffee, bottled juice and two lemon meringues. The cost was more than $45. We sat down and our pies were served in brown paper bags and were cold. The lemon meringues came on one plate - not two. The coffee was burnt. As we left, we asked to have the lemon meringue for takeaway and the girl asked if we wanted a bag for it. I’m surprised this place has customers. Disappointing experience.

Came here to try the vanilla slice after all the rave reviews it’d had. Must say we were very disappointed. It was clearly not fresh, as you would expect from a bakery. The custard filling around the outside had gone hard and formed a crust on both slices ordered. Unfortunately was already home when we discovered this. I’d rather go to the bakery close to home and pay half the price for a better and bigger slice. Customer service could also be improved.

Food is mostly good, but hot pies and quiche are always running low, if available.A couple of the staff are engaged and friendly, but the majority appear to want to be anywhere else.As noted by others, the few available tables are not consistently clean.After numerous visits over many months, my overall experience has been more miss than hit.I feel that there is more potential here than is being realised, and the let down is much less about the product.

Walked in the cafe, nobody but me as a customer. Served by a girl who could of passed as a zombie. Clearly not interested in her job. No eye contact throughout the whole transaction. I'm so sorry I asked for a roll and you had to do your job (that you are paid to do) and walk 2 metres and get it and then take my money. Maybe my request was unreasonable ? Maybe it's my fault ? Roll was average as well.

Mostly fine. Coffee fairly good. But there seems to be a lot of different staff working at this place. Some are switched on, while some others will stand with their back to you and ignore you.
