Synthetic Turf Group

Chris from Synthetic Turf Group has totally transformed our backyard. We now have a perfect, maintenance free yard for the kids to play and enjoy all year round. We will definitely use Chris and his team again for our next project. They were in and out in one day!Highly recommend.

Just had my turf installed last week. Looks absolutely perfect! Kids are loving it already, should've done it earlier. Chris and his team were very polite and did a fantastic job. Many thanks!Edit (sorry for length): within a few months after the installation, there were several weeds and grass growing through. I found that I had to get weed killer and remove the weeds every couple of weeks. Eventually I realised that that's not what I paid for so called up the company. They came and removed the turf and got rid of everything, blaming the grass coming from the neighbours.After a week the weeds/grass was back and they said there's nothing they can do about it from coming from next door. Though I don't know how fast grass grows, I don't see how it could've traveled 6metres under the turf to the edges all around the synthetic turf in two weeks. What's more surely a better job can be done to prevent grass coming from neighbours.That said, the turf itself is perfect and the team are all very nice, which is why I've still given 3 stars.

Chris and the team at STG were fantastic! Chris went the extra mile to help get our project over the line despite the looming Sydney lockdown. They were always on time and very professional. Highly recommended for any turfing needs!

Chris was helpful and polite over the phone when I called about getting some synthetic grass ordered. I let him know it had to be installed quite quickly and he advised he had stock available to help. He was supposed to drop samples off on 2 occasions and did not. He then advised he only had 1 type of grass in stock and a shipment coming in a week which would not meet my timeframe to install. On first impression all was good but turned out synthetic turf group cannot deliver what they say a disappointed customer and waste of my time.

Incredibly disappointed by dodgy workmanship.The work agreed was for a level pad for a spa to sit on at one end of the synthetic - needed 150mm compacted gravel/roadbase. Chris agreed this was no problem and they’d go from the normal 70mm up to 150mm at that end.The level wasn’t quite right so I decided to take up the synthetic and lay a slab. What I found was very dodgy, and Chris’s response when I contacted him to rectify/explain was even worse (pretended he didn’t do the work then blocked my number).I’ve got no more then 15mm gravel under the synthetic. Paid the additional for what I hoped would be quality - lucky I decided to correct the level and found this dodgy, lazy, dishonest mess!

I had a fantastic experience with Chris. Difficult block and difficult access yet CHRIS over delivered. I had done my homework and wanted a specific type and length which Chris could source. The grass looks amazing, it has been laid perfectly level. He called when he said he’d call, he turned up when he said he would turn up. Very reliable and professional. Couldn’t be happier! No more mud and no more mowing! Thanks guys.

The turf looked great to begin with but now it’s buckled in the middle after some heavy rain (less than one year old). Disappointing.One of the pins they use to secure the turn punctured the watering system which we had to get fixed at our cost. This only became apparent in spring when we turned the watering system on for summer. The owner refused to even come and look at the leaking pipe and said it couldn’t have been caused by them. The pin was lodged in the pipe! Disappointing.The grass gets unbelievably hot in summer to the point that it burns dog’s paws so i wouldn’t recommend synthetic turf to anyone with pets in a sunny area. I don’t blame the owner for not drawing our attention to this though as he’d have lost the sale. With hindsight we should have researched it more.Overall a disappointing experience but the guys who actually laid the grass were polite.
