The Horatio Motel
I stayed at The Horatio Motel in Mudgee for work and it was amazing. I booked by calling the motel. The room was stylish and spacious enough for two, and the bed was very comfortable. It was my first time in Mudgee and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I highly recommend The Horatio Motel to anyone visiting Mudgee and looking for a quality motel to use a home base to explore the area. Thank you for the special experience!

Pluses = plenty of on-site parking; quick check-in; large and very clean room; lots of hot water; comfortable bed; no road noise; friendly and obliging room service. Minuses= long walk to town centre; television not working on arrival (reception claim TV outage in area), defect fixed by self (loose cable connection); advertised 'Guest lounge and wine terrace' not operating (statement by reception); one bedside lamp defective. Overall recommendation = good motel for a longer stay provided the location is acceptable.

Had a great stay here, the staff managed to find a ground floor room for my elderly uncle who finds stairs difficult, at the last minute, while we put were upstairs, fine for us. Very big, clean room, beautiful linen, lovely Marimakko Fabric on the wall. Would come again. Friendly service too.

WOW WOW WOW!!!!! The most amazing place we have stayed in out of all our stays over the last few years (we have stayed in many places) Annie and Steve thank you so so much for your wonderful hospitality! By the time our stay was over we felt like a friendship had blossomed from the way you engaged with us each day. You really went out of your way to make our stay perfect! Reception staff are phenomenal and very friendly. Nothing is a problem to them and were ALWAYS accommodating. We were originally on the second floor but due to our special needs child that was with us they were able to get us in a room on the ground floor! THANK YOU so much for that as it also made a huge impact on our holiday. Our room was amazing and very roomy. Bed was so comfy, bathroom was great and kitchenette was perfect too! We had everything we needed for the week we were there. Our room was kept clean each day and the corridor ALWAYS had a lovely scent through it. If you get to meet Henry the vacuum make sure you say hi to the lovely cleaning ladies. Plenty of car parking as well which was great!Highly recommend this Motel for your next stay. If I could give 10 stars I would. Looking forward to returning in the future!

Love,love,love this place and that it has adult only section for a good night sleep.Staff went above and beyond and the place is verrrrry comfortable.I can't wait to come back here!

We stayed 2 nights and there were a lot of really good points. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The motel is on the main road, but we heard almost no road noise. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and the grounds were delightful. Free WiFi was good. The kitchenette was well set up, although the fridge was tiny and even on the coldest setting, over 2 days, we couldn't freeze our small thin ice bricks. The fridge was also loaded with over priced bar items which didn't leave much room for our stuff. The bathroom was large, modern, clean and well appointed, however some of the tiles behind the toilet were badly cracked and loose. The bed was firm, but comfortable. My main problem was the opaque glass bathroom door. There was no blockout blind on the bathroom window and this allowed the lights from outside to flood the room. I had trouble sleeping both nights, and if you wanted to have a bit of sleep-in, you could struggle as there is no way to keep the room dark in the mornings.

From the moment we arrived you are treated like Royalty...The staff were so helpful with Wineries to see Restaurants to visit... Can't wait to go back mid year and do it all over again...BRAVO HORATIO'S,,,
