Great club right on the beach next to headland rockpool. Upstairs function area with terrace and bar. Slide glass doors look out over the beach. Great venue.

Avalon Beach Surf Life Saving Club
My father was a surf lifesaver at Avalon until he moved to Canada in 1958. His best friend, David Lyle, is still a founding member of the Bilgola club next door. I remember visiting when I was a kid and seeing him in photos on the wall. He helped build the 2nd floor of the original club. It is one of the finest beaches in the world!

Do not eat here!!! Service was absolutely shocking. Ignored for 20 plus minutes waiting to order drinks, restaurant was only half full, our main meals were delayed by about 40mins and a chef spent the whole time sitting on his laptop at the front of the restaurant, we didn’t see him enter the kitchen for the whole 2 hours we were there, a very bad look. The food was very overpriced for the quality. We spoke to many locals after our experience who said they refuse to eat there due to similar experiences. Such a shame as the location is stunning.

Avalon Beach Surf Life Saving Club
For the tourists... well this is a nice surprise. Sydney's northern beaches are some of the best beaches in the world. One interesting feature though is there aren't many eating places facing directly onto the breaches. Many eateries have roads between beach and eateries. Of course there's the common kiosk for an icecream or Coffee but not many dining places.This place has floor to ceiling windows looking straight down onto the beach and beyond. And the Food is yummy. .. enjoy.

Attended a wedding here and it was amazing! Views we're fantastic, service was excellent and the food was fabulous. Couldn't fault the attentiveness of staff. It was also extremely close to public transport and had ample parking available.

Food is way overpriced! $7 for a peanut butter sandwich! I could buy a whole loaf of bread and the peanut butter for that much. But nice views.
