Don't use Sydney tools online purchases as you will be very disappointed.Very bad experience and bad customer support.I was asked to pay more money to cover transport cost after the fact i already paid upfront with credit card.Took a month before I was credited back

I went to the store at 15:45 on Sunday to buy a welder. One of the staff, Ben, was friendly and helpful, even almost time to close. He still try to assist me to find what I need with a good price. Highly recommended.

There is to parts to this review and it needs to be read in that context.5 STARS FOR CHRIS @ ARCHERFIELDFirstly, I would like to thank Chris, the manager of Archerfield store, for the amazing service that he provided when I was seeking a spare part for my Bayer Hammer Drill. After being referred to the Archerfield store (from Underwood and the second part of this review will cover that) to source the part I required, and after a message from Head Office to Chris, he rang me and told me what was happening and when I would get my part. All it took from Chris was ONE phone call to me to sort out an issue that had been going on for several weeks, and for that I am extremely grateful. Thank you Chris for your awesome customer service!!0 STARS FOR SYDENY TOOLS HEAD OFFICEMy initial enquiry started at Sydney Tools Underwood. I have dealt with them before and the Manager and Teo are excellent to deal with. However as a retired Trainer and Assessor/Business Owner I am amazed with Sydney Tools HO, as they spend copious amounts of money on advertising to get us in the door ONLY TO BE LET DOWN BY THE POOR AND INADEQUATE SERVICE SKILLS AND TRAINING OF THE JUNIOR STAFF. The internal communication from junior staff is poor to non-existent, there seems to be little to no internal training about internal procedures and methodology. If Sydney Tools wants to keep and grow their customer base then they need to implement an internal training system that gives the junior staff the skills, knowledge and training to deal with customers in an effective and positive manner to promote and obtain repeat business. If they have a Training system in place, IT'S NOT WORKING!!!!!

Save you time and go to Total tools. I have been completely messed around for months trying to return a faulty argon regulator. Waited 4 weeks to be told it was working fine, got home with it and within ten minutes it was leaking argon from relief hole. Drove back to have it re checked (they refused to replace it). 6 weeks later i enquire, and it hasnt even been picked up to be re tested. Another 3 weeks they ring and offer to swap it for another one which they should have firstly to save all this hassle. I ask for a refund instead, 3 weeks and 4 different people im dealing with later still no money in my bank. Worst/most incomptent customer service ive ever seen. Save yourself the time and effort and go some place else. Wish i did

I visited the store to clarify whether an adaptor was missing from a compressor I bought or I had to buy as an option. The staff turned defensive and refusing to listen what I was saying. After me insisting, they grudgingly showed me a new one to confirm what parts are included. As I told them at the shop, I went there to have a conversation and hoping they could help me figure it out; I had already ordered the adaptor online via Sydney Tools anyway. A very unpleasant experience.

Outstanding customer service from Devan. I ordered a line level at 4:30pm and needed it for a job the next day. I explained via email to Devan that I needed it urgently and he dropped it off to me on his way home. I had it in my hands at 6:00pm!Thanks for your help Devan, it's very much appreciated.

I am a VERY unhappy customer who is being ignored by Sydney Tools for reasons that are not known to me.I have paid for priority delivery and did not receive the order in the specified time (as paid for).I have repeatedly raised the issue with the store and head-office regarding the applicable order and have spoken repeatedly with the store (approx 6 phone calls) to have this resolved. I have left messages for the manager to phone me and have still not heard back.Also despite assurances from head office the state/area manager has not phoned me either. I have three emails that followed from my complaints where I am assured that I will be contacted. This has not happened.What is beyond belief in this instance is that head office points the finger at the store and the store points a finger at head office and no-one wants to take ownership of the issue.The store manager told staff members that he had spoken to me and resolved everything but this did not happen. I have also spoken to the duty manager who also assured me that they will resolve this and call me back. Guess what, no calls, no emails.This is going on for two weeks and the only one trying to resolve it is me, but to no avail, as neither the store nor head office appears to have any desire to resolve this.I have paid fro priority delivery and did not receive the order in the specified time (as paid for).I am expecting a refund of the priority delivery fee and I am still waiting for a response.This is VERY POOR customer service!!!!! Being ignored just angers me more!!!

I have shopped a lot at Sydney Tools, but not any more. I just went to buy a new ratchet to replace a broken one. I found a Milwaukee ratchet on the shelf marked at $65. When I went to the counter, it came up as $79 on the computer. I told the salesman what the ticket said and went to take a photo. When I returned with proof of the advertised price, he told me there had been a price rise and that the new price was applicable. He said if it was advertised at that price externally it would be honoured, but not if the price was marked lower on the shelf. I asked if that meant that you could then have items marked at any price on the shelf and it meant nothing, and he said that was right. I left the store somewhat upset.Footnote.I went to a competitor down/up the road and found a Gearwrench ratchet for $78.60. I went to the counter and it came up at $96 something. I thought oh great, here we go again....but guess what, without any discusion or argument, they honoured the marked price. They've won me.

Best tool shops. Very competitive pricing and good staffs.Had my cordless coil gun return for warranty. They fixed it on house over the easter holiday. picked up two days after dropped off.Very impressive.
