The Freycinet Dream

Freycinet Dream is in a great location with lovely beach views and reasonably priced. The lounge area is very comfortable as is the main bed (did not use the others). The Wi-fi was also very good. The house is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped and is great for a couple or for a family. However it is getting a little tired - a drawer is broken in the kitchen, the oven door does not close fully and a few things were broken or damaged. The place had obviously been cleaned before our arrival, but we estimate this was at least a few days before, as it was quite dusty and the windows were very dirty with bird mess, ruining part of the view. Future guests also need to know there is a building site next door with is a current eyesore on the view to the side and may block that view in the future. Also compared to other self catering accommodation we have booked this year in Tasmania and across Australia, there is zero communication after the confirmation of your booking and no request for a review - hence this public feedback.

Horrendos service. Due to COVID my partner and I had to cancel our 3 week Tasmania holiday as we were unable to cross the border. We were able to received full refunds for all of our accomodation except for this one. Every other accomodation host waived the cancellation fee's as a courtesy for the situation however Freycinet Dream were unresponsive for days and when they finally did reply their response was short and without an ounce of empathy. My partner and I were very excited about our trip and we are devastated that we have had to cancel. I completely understand the affect COVID is having on the tourism industry, but we are being encourage by the government to travel within Australia, and unfortunately situations with unpleasant accomodation providers is discouraging. I will be rebooking all of our Tasmania accomodations when we are able to travel, but I certainly won't be rebooking here due to the appalling customer service response. I'm not one for writing reviews but I feel it only right to warn of other customers who may face similar circumstances.

The property has an incredible view, really enjoyed sitting on the deck with a wine. The kitchen is very well appointed and very easy to self cater and the house is spacious. Great selection of books and games as well. The low lights, we got there and there was only a half roll of toilet paper so we had to ring to ask them to bring more, we had 6 guests booked and there were only 4 towels provided, as I'd already rung about the toilet paper I didn't want to be annoying so we just left it. Mostly clean but there was lots of dust under the beds etc, a deep clean would be good.

Nice view excellent place to stay nice and cosy ...recommended it to anyone to stay

Absolutely beautiful place, with stunning views. Everything was clean, well maintained with a well equipped kitchen.Very close to Coles bay Main Street and only a short drive into Freycinet National Park. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
