One of its kind experience ! It’s surreal to witness the moon, mars and Jupiter and it’s own moon and many different stars. It’s a must go place for the experience itself. I thoroughly enjoyed it !! Friendly staff and I think the host is annoyed because of naughty kids in the past - so if you are bringing anyone under 18 make sure you all behave and don’t move things!! I think it takes hours of hard work to set things up - so be careful when you walk around and extra cautious about not adjusting or accidentally moving the telescopes. There is another 1:1 mid night photography sessions - if you are serious about photography you should try (I haven’t tried it)Finally - a place you must visit !Note : plan a no moon or half moon sort of days with less cloudy or no rain nights ! (That’s recommended)

What a great place to visit. Peter made things easy for the layman to understand. Took our grandchildren who loved it. Will definitely be back with my camera.

Do you or anyone in your family love stars, planets or galaxies or are you curious about the universe? If the answer is yes then you are highly recommended to visit this observatory. Book online using its website and you can choose different booking options. Prices for different options do vary. If planning to visit, do look at the forecast beforehand because you cannot see any star or a planet if the sky is covered with clouds. Peter Starr, the owner manager, is your guide for the visit and he himself is an Astrophysicist. Therefore, you would learn a lot about astrophysics. You can see different constellations of stars, couple of distant galaxies and nebulae as well. Peter runs a detailed presentation after the tour where you get to learn more. Overall, a very good experience and a must try.

Great place to watch the stars and moon without much city light pollution. Very good for kids to experience and explore their interests in astronomy. Staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

We had a nice time coming here over the NSW October long weekend. It was my first time to be in an observatory and our guide was amazing. We got to see constellations, dead star, Jupiter, Saturn and other star clusters.

I have been here a couple of times and it was always amazing. Peter was wonderful. I really appreciate his patience and also willingness to answer all our queries. We spent around 2 hours looking at galaxies and stars. Kids were tired and not interested. But if you are a space person who know the bare minimum basics of physics, I am sure it would be even more amazing. We had a wonderful time. It gets really cold at nights especially during winters.

Wonderful observatory! More intimate than planetariums and other observatories I’ve been to, great presentation, multiple telescopes running in 2 rounds so we could see lots of interesting things in the night sky. Will definitely be back.

Great session for kids and adults. We were lucky that it was a clear sky with a crescent moon. Peter gave a brilliant commentary and we were able to see several constellations and clusters. He readjusted the telescopes midway for a second viewing too. Our children loved the session.
