Nice walk on a fairly even gradient, passes through a few different environments and lots of bird life.Track was in need of some clearing after wild weather but nothing too strenuous.Walk ends at the point which is essentially a wide open area of sand dunes with lovely views to Inverloch.Would recommend if in the area.

Such an unusual and beautiful landscape. It’s a decent walk, too much for my toddler but we halved the distance, to about 3.5km, and he got to have a swim on the north shore where the track meets the inlet. Feels like a deserted island and we felt like castaways. Saw lots and lots of butterflies but no snakes, (thankfully).

Well sign posted and path maintained mostly. Exceptions are the path to the very point and beach access points all of them have no signage from beach side. So mark where you entered into the beach so you can get back easily. The path to the very point is narrow width of just your shoe prints and has trees you need to climb over and bend under to hip height around 1m low. The beach access point is similar. Lots of flowers, birds, kangaroos and wombats. Allow 2.5-3hrs to explore this area without time for stops. Distance 5.5-6km some areas are steep and loose sand so suitable footwear required. No toilets. No taps. If swimming or walking on beach be careful of jellyfish stings.

Beautiful walks in the coastal forest and dunes. Peaceful and uncrowded. Beautiful birdlife and sea views. Plenty of wombat and kangaroo tracks - but we didn't see any animals.

Well this wasn't what I expected, but I was blown away by the natural beauty. When we arrived at the carpark, we thought the walk to the beach would be short, but we opted for a track that took us almost 3klms to get to such a remote beach, right on the tip of the peninsula, called Venus Bay beach, the waves were huge and ferocious, there was a vast array of seaweed being washed up in the surf. We had the entire beach to ourselves, it was so worth the trek. I wouldn't recommend the trek to anyone with limited mobility, the track gets narrower and steeper as it goes on until you find yourself on the top of a sand dune staring down at the glistening waters. We came accross a random find of a lilypond, just there in the middle of nowhere, giant lilypads about the size of dinner plates, in full flower, just beautiful if not oddly placed. The day we visited, the skies were full of smoke leaving visibility of the full stretch of beach a little shorter. Would love to return to this unspoilt, untouched location.

Great day activity if you're staying in Venus Bay. Wear good walking shoes, bring water. Take the additional trail to the very end of the point - beautiful beach!

Walking tracks lead away from the car parking area at the end of Lees Road. The longer walk of 2.5 hours leads to the tip of Point Smythe, opposite Inverloch. A short 15 minute walk to the mud flats and mangroves on Anderson Inlet is a good option if you just want to see some crabs!

Great place for a walk. Suggest walk through bush to point and return via beach. Most of the tracks are suitable for bikes.
