We love this little bookshop for its amazing selection and beautiful finds, especially the children's hardbacks. Year after year it contributes significantly to my birthday/Christmas gift shopping. Maybe it's the luck of the draw, but the only thing in this otherwise lovely place that puzzles me each time is the cold, somewhat perfunctory service at the cash register. A smile and a how are you?" would go a long way."

Really varied selection for a small shop. The owner was helpful and friendly. Good kids section, plus a table of discount books. Could definitely spend a lot of time browsing.

The shop is really nice with a great selection of books. But the team member was a bit rough I found, could have been definitely friendlier. I did not feel too welcome but will give it another shot as I really want to support local shops. We all can have good days or bad days sometimes. Who knows what happened that day.

Utterly appalling customer service. Aggressive rude elderly shop assistant. Was going to purchase a holiday read but walked out after the awful experience. Do not recommend shopping here until they sack this horrible woman.

We had the WORST experience at this bookshop. To say they are unfriendly is an understatement. After helicoptering around my 3 children who were looking at the children's books, I witnessed a staff member snatch a book from my 3 year old very nervous son and say 'that is too old for you'. She then proceeded to tell me to keep an eye on my children (I was 2 metres away choosing a book for myself!) Clearly this woman does not welcome families and when I questioned her behaviour she actually started being very abusive so we had to leave. A very negative experience for our book loving children. Next time we will stick to our beautiful family orientated bookshop in Thirroul who are much more friendly and actually understand what the word 'child' means.
