Town Hall Bakery
This bakery is mediocre. Very small store and quite cramped when other people are in store, impossible to social distance. Prices are considerably high in comparison with other bakeries nearby. There is quite a language barrier with the male owner which causes some confusion. The loaves of bread are quite small compared to other loaves from other local bakeries and supermarkets in the 4017 area. I think this bakery has some room for improvement and I will not be returning due to the above reasons and value for money. One pro is the cleanliness of the store and organisation.

It's like a old fashioned cake shop. Everything about it is like a step back in time.Well situated in Sandgate, on a corner position, the Town Hall Bakery has a large verandah and outdoor tables and chairs. Very shady position, it would be lovely on a summer's day. On the day I went, it was cool, but it didn't keep the cafe flocking folk away.A great range of cakes, breads, pastries to tempt even the strictest cafe customer. The coffee mugs are a little on the small side, but the coffee is good.It doesn't try to be trendy. It is what it is, which is very good

Sourdogh bread was definitely NOT freshly baked. Obviously from a day or two ago. Better off going to Woolies.

I use it for raisin toast and coffee - mid point on our Thursday bike ride. The Bakery has proven to be the best in Sandgate. For us, anyway. Good service and our bikes are always in sight.

This bakery is rapidly going downhill. pretend cream is not cream. I specifically asked if it was cream in the apple turnover. Got home it was not. It hardly had any apple as well which was cheap tinned. It was disgusting and it went in the bin. The pastie had mush inside that defied description. It was binned too. Be very wary when you buy from this bakery. Standards are very poor. Awful.

Hands down the best chunky steak pies Northside, real steak and lovely thick tasty gravy, don't miss out. Some of the pies do have mince (steak & kidney) but if you want proper chunky steak and plenty of it, you'll get it here.

Went in on Saturday for a snack to feed my child and mother. The staff were rude. We ordered 3 spinich triangles and the order came to 17.80. We had just taken a bite out of them so couldnt return them and when we questioned the price of them since there was no drink and we were flabbergasted.. the woman told us they were 4.80 each. After looking at her like 'Do you even math?!' She waved us away and walked out the back.Makes me sick that places like this are even able to operate this unprofessionally. We then went to sit at the tables provided that were covered in crumbs.Oh and to top off our over priced triangles... there was barely any filling inside them. We paid $5. for dry and obviously old pastries.Revolting all round. Pity there is nothing lower than one star.

Great old-fashioned bakery with lots of cake styles you don't see much anymore. My excellent pie was steak and mushroom. The top came off because it was so full. Great pastry and great filling. The previous traditional early-rising baker has handed it on to a Vietnamese couple who have kept many of the old style cakes going. I had an excellent caramel malted milkshake for $6.50 also Now they have some Vietnamese street food. Small inside but some outside seating.

A hidden gem in sandgate, delicious food which is reasonably priced. I frequently buy the ham rolls, sandwiches, pies and cream donuts. A fresh selection of food and very friendly staff
