Just the best chips. Visited at sunset on a Wednesday during the Easter school holidays. Place was empty - but my god the chips were great...

Flames and Flavour -One Mile Cafe
We spent over $70 on 2 Caesar salads, 1 steak sandwich and a can of drink each. I have never seen a more miserable salad. After waiting 40 minutes for our meals in an almost empty cafe, we decided to ask how much longer and were told by the waiter that they would find out. After no response the meals were brought out almost 15 minutes later. I asked for aioli for my small side of chips and had to pay another $2 for about a tablespoon of sauce which arrived for the last three chips on my plate (a good 7 minutes after ordered). My family were half way through their salads before realising they didn’t have croutons. That was another 10 minute ordeal. It was obvious the waitress did not care about customers experiences. The one star is for the steak sandwich which was ok.

Very nice place for a meal as it is right by One Mile Beach and has loads of parking.The food is nice enough for a quick meal at the beach.Salt & Pepper squid 3/5Halloumi butternut salad with chicken 4/5Good coffee and smoothies too.

Took the kids out to breakfast for a treat. The service was almost non-existent and the service we did receive wasn't the best.We ordered 3 waffles, 1 bacon and egg roll, 1 one mile breakfast, an iced coffee, 3 milkshakes and a smoothie totally to $122.50. Now normally we don't mind paying that much as long as it's decent food. But this was not.The kids waffles arrived soggy and partially warm and went unfinished. I didn't even eat half of my $12 bacon and egg roll. And hubby wasn't over the moon about his food either.The drinks weren't very fabulous at all. The kids didn't even finish their milkshake and for the price of them, you would think the glass would of been a decent size not a mason jar mug.They completely forgot to bring out my iced coffee altogether until we asked for it after we started eating.

Parking at this cafe was very easy (we were there during off season) and there was indoor and outdoor seats. Upon walking inside I grabbed some menus but no staff were to be seen.We sat outside and decided on what to get and more customers arrived. When I went to order the waitress was there now and was actually very friendly. The prices are reasonable except for the smoothies , milkshakes and some of the other cold drinks are over priced.The round tables outside are quite awkward to sit and eat at but that didn't stop us enjoying our delicious big breakfast and waffles. Waffles with crispy bits inside are the best and these ones didn't disappoint.The vibe could definitely be improved and some of the prices but we'd be back.

Lovely meals. Waffles, pancakes and milkshakes were great. Outdoor seating area was great to dine and get some winter sun. Outdoor seating is awesome!!Definitely recommend to anyone who’s new in the area
