Spent 4 nights at the Lodge, the town is spectacular during autumn with the colours of the fall. Rug up in autumn & winter! This place is a photographer's paradise!

Very interesting place, a bit out of the way, but that adds to its charm. Worth the trip!

So very interesting! Very well presented historical village with some of the original buildings form the gold rush era. Lots of signs with photographs and information of the town and it's buildings from the hay days. Well worth a stoll and be immersed in the period.

Formally gold mining town, Hill End offers alot of historical information about the mining practices in the late 1800''s. Set in a quiet peaceful location. The surroundings area offers hiking trails, scenic views and information about each area as well as alot of historical machinery from times past. You can also find a guided tour of one of the mines, that I recommend you phone and book in advance to find out the availability. There is food and accommodation available as well as camping.

Lovely heritage town with good pub. Museum has a good selection of old equipment to look at even if the building isn't open. Toilets and picnic facilities available

This is one of my favourite places in the whole world. Hill End is such a beautiful spot to visit. We camp in the Village Campground and love the convenience to stroll around. The light at sunset is magical.

State Heritage Listed 19th Century gold mining town. Heritage centre display includes plate photograph images from the 1870s giving an insight into what life was like during Hill Ends heyday. Many walking tracks to explore, a mine tour, and food options in town. Two nearby caravan/ camping ground options.
