Lady was helpful until she refused to take $4 cash for a map we wanted to buy. When questioned as to why she wouldn't take cash, only eftpos she couldn't answer us and became quite grumpy. Cash is king! The info centre is great though.

Mansfield Visitor Information Centre
An Aboriginal art gallery has opened at the Information Centre featuring the works of Jack Macale. Beautiful art set in an intimate space. It will be a permanent feature with new exhibitions opening every few months. The staff at the centre are very friendly and helpful.A new exhibition has been hung featuring Lockhart River Arts artists Evelyn Omenyo and Patrick Butcher Jnr. Evelyn is an elder Old Girl" who also produces jewellery and baskets and Patrick is an esteemed "Art Gang" member. Both have an international standing.The summer Exhibition features artists from the Nuukurr community from Eastern Arnhem Land."

The start (or end) of the great rail trail. The toilets here are a welcome sight at the end of a long ride. The information service is excellent and will tell you all about what you can do in the area.

Very informative and interesting displays. Helpful and friendly staff member available for a chat. Adjacent to the Mansfield wetlands which is an easy stroll for some local birdlife and signed trees and bushes
