A quiet, secluded place with some nice bush walks along an abandoned light railway.The road in is easy (a few small washouts so don't speed)There's a drop toilet that's well maintained and some picnic tables.The top area was a bit boggy.

Log Crossing Picnic Area
This is a well maintained area in a beautiful setting. I did the 15 Km return walk to the quarry. I am not a very healthy person but was able to do the walk easily along the old tramway. Lots of interesting history and natural places of beauty along the walk. The smells of the bush are so very Australian. Lots of stunning bird sightings Lyrebirds, Eagles, parrots, cockatoos, fiches. Many variety of ferns. Take a pick nick lunch and water and enjoy the area.

It's a walk In tent camping ground. If you have a caravan, camper or motor home you need to set up in the car park and then there is room for maybe four of them. Clean facilities but the creek is a moving mud river with lots of mossies.

Great spot to access the Discovery Trail and a few other trails that you can loop together for a half-day or full day hike.

Great camp site for a stop over , not very much room to turn a caravan around so be warned if it is busy. Bring plenty of mossy replant as there is a huge amount if them.

Nice spot for a picnic and overnight stay. There is a creek but hard to access. Downside is that it is on a dirt road intersection and quite a bit of traffic and dirt bikes pass through. Plenty of walking tracks arount

Nice place to stay away from the city , have toilet here , u can do hiking/walk . Do camp fire in here and its free but u first come first serve .

Log Crossing Picnic Area
We enjoyed our stay here, but campers need to be considerate of others too. Coming in at midnight and banging car doors is not appropriate nor is loud music till 1.00am.But on a positive note, so many great walking trails in the area. We find ours on AllTrails and always enjoyable as seen in attached image.
