Every now and then you come across a restaurant which exceeds every expectation and redefines what you then come to expect from a certain type of cuisine. O'Bombay is such a place and is an absolute must for anyone who wants the best of what Indian food can, and, should be in the 21st century.Modern decor, an ambiance which oozes class and Indian food that has not excited and surprised me as much since I arrived in Australia over 25 years ago.Prices are very reasonable and portions are more than generous (with none of your minute portions of meat with sauce added that you get in some establishments).Each dish was prepared with care and creativity, with every flavour and blends of spices perfectly complimenting one another.Service was above and beyond and staff could not do enough to make our evening special.I have visited hundreds of restaurants all around Sydney and this now sits firmly in my top 5 venues. It's an absolute must for lovers of Indian cuisine and it most certainly won't me last visit.Hornsby is very lucky to have such a great venue!

Didn't know of this place until today... Suggested by a mate of mine... Went in for dinner and was surprised by the how good the food is... Great selection of spirits, wine and beer. The decor is fantastic and looks like a lot of effort has gone in to give it a retro Bombay look with posters that go all along the wall and the toilet... The neon signs.. Everything very tastfully done... The food was excellent and so was the service... Good job guys... Keep it up... Highly recommended...

A nicely decorated Indian restaurant in the Hornsby area that is eye-catching and well set for the seating options.The staff are very helpful and friendly from the greetings, and menu selection and also help you to ensure your dining experience is enjoyable.The curry is tasty and well-made, and the bread is also freshly made with some tasty seasons.It's been a great pleasure to dine with friends in this place.There will be an additional surcharge when paying with an electronic transaction method.

If you're looking for a place to enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine, you might want to check out O'Bombay. I have dined here several times and I always leave satisfied. The food is great, with a variety of dishes to suit different tastes and spice levels. The ambience is nice, with a cozy and elegant decor. The place is clean and well-maintained. Most dishes are reasonably priced, especially for the quality and quantity you get. What makes it pretty good is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile and make sure you have everything you need. Parking at Westfield is convenient. O'Bombay is one of my favorite restaurants and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try something new.

Amazing food. We booked a table for two 3 hours earlier and they had space. Arriving we were sitting to close to the door and the staff were kind enough to ask if we wanted another table. The drinks were superbly tasty and food speaks for itself. Great food experience and will be back here soon to try other dishes!

The atmosphere was really good. The service was quite fast and staff were very friendly and polite. The food, though, was just ok. I didn't find anything extraordinary in the meal we ordered. I liked the dessert. It was on the super sweet extreme, but I think it is how the Indian desserts are

This is definitely the go to place for Indian style food in Hornsby! Excellent food with vegan and vegetarian options on a great menu. The service is friendly and attentive. The room is fresh and bright. It's also at ground level, easy access for disabled people. Recommended!

I was surprised by how good this place was. Add to the fact that Sunday night it's 50% of all alcohol. That's right $8 cocktails.Food quality and presentation was great.Service with a smile and attentive.And the best looking bar

I’m opposed to Indian food being an Indian but this restaurant has definitely changed me…. I went there for their Malwani Thali and must I say it did not disappoint…. Every aspect of the thali was a pure delight! The prawn and meat was just perfectly cooked and the entire thali was well balanced in terms of spice levels and packed with flavour. It was as if I was in Mumbai eating a Malvani fish thali. The moong dal halva was packed with flavour and ghee & cashew which I love…. The kulfi was a pure delight to end a good meal.Service was great.In all a very pleasant experience. Kudos to the chef for creating an excellent thali !!!!

Great atmosphere, lovely staff and a delicious little vegan menu! Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!
