Avondale Meats Bribie Island

Okay so my only experience of this place was unfortunately disappointing. I remember distinctly a lady next to me was wanting a position to work at this place and was rejected but I think she’d atleast know the common health and hygiene practices when serving customers. The person who served touched my mince with his bare hands and it completely through me off guard, I should’ve said something at the time but now knowing what I know, this is unacceptable service. I won’t be returning and I suggest you reconsider that kind ladies application.

Great range of fresh meats available. Sausages are fantastic for any meal. Some great flavoured type as well.

Always friendly service at Avondale Meats! And nothing is made to seem too difficult for them to do for you - separating portions, cutting to size etc. The Jacks Creek steaks are the best I’ve had in my life and their sausages are the ONLY ones I will eat now!! Chicken schnitzels are awesome too! And last but not least, the pork crackle roasts are to die for! Thanks guys!

Anyone looking for the best butcher on Bribie, look no further, you have found them. The staff don't treat you like a number, they take the time to talk to their customers and ask what they can do for them and recommend the best buys for there budget. The meat they sell is of top quality and there sausage range is outstanding. I used to buy sausages from Woolworths but after trying some from Avondale meats I realised where the term, you get what you pay for" came from. Please keep up the great work guys

The best meat around. Responds to messages about product requests, nothing is to much trouble. Free home delivery service is awesome.The only time we had a product issue, we were met with genuine care and resolution. Well done guys

Really excellent and friendly customer service, and top quality super fresh meat. They are also happy to do special cuts if requested, and they offer FREE home delivery, a great big thank you and 5 stars to this business for their outstanding service!!! We would definitely recommend!

I unfortunately have to leave a review I hope this will be taken seriously. A few weeks ago I purchased chicken skewers that were rotten and unfortunately a family member suffered food poisoning. I went back to complain BECAUSE that was actually the 2nd time in a matter of weeks that I had purchased off meat. I received more chicken skewers free of charge and they threw in a few enchiladas free also, thank you. Today doing my weekly shop I purchased 4 chicken thighs and to no surprise they were also rotten!! this has been on 3 occasions in a month that you have served me off meat, it’s disgusting, concerning, and really inconvenient at dinner time when your dinner plans have been thrown out the window & with a hungry toddler it’s frustrating. I think you need to take more care with what your serving especially to the vulnerable elderly on the island someone could become incredibly sick.

I have always loved the pork cutlets from you but unfortunately today I bought my usual 4 , I have moved from the area so it's been a while since I've had a chance to visit , whatever you have done to the meat has ruined it , it is soft and has no bite to it .I know there was something written on the card but due to other customers I could not read it .Anyway at the end of the day the cutlets were like processed meat with no substance to them .Very disappointing and couldn't even finish eating them .

Since COVID we have found less and less selection of meat at the supermarket and been buying more from Avondale. We have loved the variety and quality and would normally go to the Banksia Beach store. Our last two shops have been at the Bongaree store and found the quality not as good. Disappointingly on our last shop I clearly heard my wife ask for five sausages and two pork cutlets only to find when we returned home that we had six sausages and three cutlets, total $27.00. We sincerely hope this isn't common practice at this store and will be paying more attention should we find ourselves in this shop again. I don't know how much the extras actually cost us but being on a limited budget like most people these days it meant we missed out on something else. Disappointed!
