Acacia Grove Canine Lodge

Hi my name is Kate I came over last Friday afternoon and last Monday I was in hospital but my brother in law took my doggy Ben Home safety last Tuesday. Thank you very much for look after my dog Ben.I’m better now. ;)

have left my dog with this company several times and i really thought that they cared about animals. How wrong i was!!!! I collected sadie who is 14 now on Friday (yesterday) and was absolutely appalled at how she had been left. I dropped off sadie on Saturday last week and yes, she is getting old but she was still very active and happy. I went to collect sadie and saw my poor dog lying on a low level bed and her back around her bottom had yellow stains from where she had been peeing but hadnt been cleaned up. The fact of the matter is I accept sadie is getting old but to treat my dog the way she has been treated in this place is truly disgusting. She looked miserable and fed up, and I won't be taking her there again. I give this place 1 star and that is being very generous indeed. If I could I wouldn't give them any stars

Do not leave your dog or cat here!! I worked here and can tell you from first hand experience that the owners are just horrible! I was the only person there who had any experience/qualifications with handling animals and therefore was the only person who could care for the animals properly. The owners did not pay staff currently, did not have food sometimes on the premises for the animals and would then expect the staff to pay for food for animals. I once also caught the owner screaming and yelling at a dog because it kept barking. They used staff for their own needs, not the animals. Please do not leave animals here at any cost!

These people mistreat and neglect the animals while you are away.I put my dog in for a two week stay, and when I came to pick him up, he was skinny and had sores all over his body.These people have ben investigated by the RSPCA. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Do not leave your dog or cat here!! I worked here and can tell you from first hand experience that the animals are not treated well. The only reason I stayed for as long as I did was I was genuinely worried about the welfare of the animals staying.Whilst being the only person on duty, owners make you clean and mow their pool area of their house, then wash the boats from their second business (all while “looking after the animals”)Find anywhere else!

I left my cats with Acacia Grove cattery and my cats came back fat and content. I booked my girls into a single bedroom but the staff said it was quite and up graded them to a double room, that was like about 3m x3m room- soooo happy. The last time I left my cats with the vet and I found out they had been couped up for 2 weeks in a small sick animal cage. Thank you Acacia Grove for caring for Tinker and Snowy.

We have used Acacia for a number of years for our Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Max. He has always been happy to go and runs in without any coercion . He is looked after and comes home looking well .

Have taken my dog (Bella - red kelpie) here for the last few years. They are lovely and look after her very well. Bella is a handful so thanks for putting up with her!

Dreadful - avoid at all costs. We needed someone to look after our dog over the summer holidays. When I picked up my dog there was no-one looking after the animals. The owner was super grumpy that I wanted to pick up our dog in the afternoon (even though I'd been told this was fine on the phone - although they wanted to charge me $50 for the privilege!)> Then they lost our leash, had no record of the booking or deposit when we picked her up so they charged us the full amount and I am now having to pursue them in court to get my money back. They never respond to emails, hardly ever answer the phone. This is not a real business. In my experience they have been thoroughly unprofessional and dishonest.Go next door - your animal will be looked after properly, and so will you.

Please beware when booking with these people. Booked our animal in for Christmas. Paid deposit but within 6weeks our beloved lab passed away from a acute illness. Contacted Acacia Grove and explained the situation and need to cancel booking.At first told we could get refund but then heard nothing. Owners never available to talk when you ring only young girl who says she will pass message on. Got an email after many phone calls offering credit for further boarding so we explained we no longer have a dog so of no use to us. Offered to pay reasonable administration fee but to date 2months later still no word.
